I can't keep this car straight, no matter how hard I try. She just keeps on drifting whenever I open the gas, even in that easy left turn after the Dunlop bridge. It's fun, but I can't get a decent time :banghead:
It is possible to get that turn full throttle.
When excting the hairpin right, stay left till the car is straight ,hit the gas and aim for the right side rumble in the left turn, just for t2.

Will give it a try, thanks! Provided I can keep the car straight after the right turn under the Dunlop bridge, which is no easy feat for me

Dunlop curve take that turn tight on the left, let it drift wide aiming for the end of the curb on the right where the grass starts, if you feel the back is about to step out just lift the gas foot to about 90% then back on again.

Before the right hairpin you should make about 85/86/87 depending on your line.

There is a slight adverse camber middle of the track where the Moto bike chicane joins main track, but it is very slight.

Thanks for the hint, I'll give everything a try and aim for a better time in the weekend ;) I also need to work a LOT on gas sensitivity, I'm really bad at it...either too few or too much. My right second finger isn't that much sensitive haha

I was using controller till t500rs update, but with arthritis in both hands and feet I could only use two fingers one on each hand.

I use L2 and R2 and auto so I only had to stop or go. Try the same line, but now how to get back to left for hairpin, as it's a slow turn, you have time to head to the left curb braking hard in a straight line, then your set for out-in-out for the hairpin

I replaced my wheel and pedals this afternoon 'cause the boss let me leave early. 2+ hours later I have the config I need with my rig. However, I'm finding the CSL Elite brake pedal doesn't have a loadcell so I'm all over the place. I could barely get a lap in on this combo. So, when my loadcell upgrade arrives next week, I'll try it then 👍

@EDK what CSL wheel settings do you use for the S_1, FF, etc. I found things better with turning the ABS off on the wheel (only adjustment I made so far).

I can sympathize with you on the arthritis! I have Neuropathy in both feet caused by a nerve pressing on scar tissue in my lower back. Hang in there!!

Two sessions in the last couple of days and I haven't been able to get within a tenth of my best time (though I have been faster in the first two sectors a few times).

I will not give up until I break my current time by a quarter of a second. Or until the deadline passes, I guess.

After 3 days without improvements trying to beat a good lap with a fading finish I finally hit a lap only 1 thousand slower that the previous. Almost as good as an improvement. :dopey:

Being just as careful as last time I took another full and clean lap just to be sure. But time was set on the first lap after a restart just like my previous good lap, so I suspected that this could cause the fade. :scared:

Instead of quitting and checking right away I continued for another 10 laps and finally I hit a good improvement in the last sector with these splits:

16.850
20.871

This new best was set on second lap after a restart, and replay is all good and time instantly submitted.

Afterwards I also checked the slower replay set on lap 1, and it ended with the dreaded fade. Hmm... 💡 Back to Tsukuba, driving and saving two best laps on lap 1. Both working fine though, so there dies another theory. :dopey:

Good luck to everybody. :gtpflag:

BB -2 for me btw.

Guys, what is "fade" ?

Best lap replay running/fading out as you cross the line. Sometimes the final lap time can be seen in a split second other times it seems impossible to see the laptime making it difficult or even impossible to verify the laptime of the replay. :grumpy:

Some of the advices to avoid this is to continue to the first split after you have crossed the finish line before you quit. Avoid being dirty (get a penalty) before the lap starts and in extra sector you drive after you have crossed the line.

Don't know how much of this is actually verified, but either way it's not always enough to avoid the bug, who sometimes seems to strike randomly. :scared:

Very frustrating, most circuits I get steadily quicker as I practice more, here I'm getting slower :banghead:

Also am I missing something? I cant seem to load my fastest lap as a ghost without having my current ghost dancing about the place distracting me, why would you want two ghosts
