in the second to last column there's +7 for me where does this number come from?

Very good question as I've got -8 and no idea what it means

Could someone also tell me where the green "replay checked" flags come from? I have downloaded some replays which I will check later but can't see how I display the green flag to show if they are okay? Thanks

Great lap @mike_gt3 , now I undertsand ;)

@Xelyno & @nursemorph +7 is the number of leaderboard positions gained between the splits and the results page i.e. Xelyno was 56th on the splits board but finished 49th overall

Good fun this week although tricky to get the hang of the car, and I certainly can't claim to having an understanding of T1 but managed to make up for it over the rest of the lap. This car accelerates so fast that good time can be gained by making sure you're able to get on the throttle early, and in some cases that meant compromising braking a little to get everything lined up e.g. the second chicane.

@Gravitron - great battle again this week Lucas and congrats on your revenge for GT5 week 53

Well done to everyone that met or exceeded their goals this week 👍

It the number of places you made up or lost in the last sector. 👍

Tree'd by Jon :P

Or at least it's a rough approximation as it also counts those who didn't submit T1+T2 splits in the final rankings. Example - I was 73rd of the 80 who submitted splits for T1+T2, 63rd of 80 in computed T3 and 68th of those 80 overall, but because 10 people submitted times without splits were faster than me, instead of a +5, I have a -5 because I ended up 78th of 97 who submitted times.

I'm not complaining because it did take a bit of additional manual work for me to strip out those who didn't submit splits and because I wasn't dead last (but mostly because I wasn't dead last :dunce:).

Just copy the appropriate flag from the front page and paste it in.

@Argon @Carlos Fandango : Thanks for the replies guys, most appreciated. I did wonder if that was the answer to it.

@Eggstor : Thankyou for that...didn't even consider copy/pasting it.

Edit: Got it finally...yay. I can now check replays to my heart's content

Thanks for checking 👍

Here is the video of my lap:

Wow, I never considered changing to first gear for the first chicane. :scared: I did actually manage a few 27.0xx T1s, but I cut the curbs a lot each time, and since I messed up on each of them I never checked if they were clean.

I see there is a lot of evaluation of "where I finished" as far as an overall position. While this is definitely how the pecking order works, it doesn't really tell you how well you actually did. For those, like me, buried deep in a tough division, I offer a different way to look at your weekly results, one that will help you with your progression up the WRS ladder.

Calculate you time to the leaders (both overall and your division) with respect to time behind per minute. For example, this week I posted a 1'38.990 as my PB, while Mike won with a 1'37.658, for a total difference of 1.332 seconds. Now taking Mike's marker and using his total time in seconds (97.658 seconds), I divide 1.332 by 97.658 and multiply by 60 to convert seconds to minutes for a total of 0.818 seconds of difference per Mike's minutes of driving. So if we were to drive for 2 total minutes instead of to the finish line, I'd be 1.636 seconds behind.

The advantage with this system is you can see your improvements from week to week, regardless of how many fast/slower people entered the TT. When I started in D3 in the WRS-GT5 edition, I had set a goal of 1 second per minute. I started out at 1.123 sec/min and did my last GT5 TT at 0.949 sec/min, so I was improving :)

And this week, I proved to myself that although I'm farther down the results table than I was in GT5, I'm actually catching the winners!

@pilmat that's a really interesting way of looking at it. Will be interesting to see how that extrapolates over a long lap at the 'Ring or the new circuit that is being released soon that is even longer

It's exactly for varying lengths of track. The method is something I learned in rallying where the stages are always different lengths, but you like to know your relative time to the leaders, so we always calculate seconds per mile. But It is just as easy to do seconds per minute and is something I use with my real world drivers to see how they compare on the grid to the leaders. When track conditions change and lap times start changing, you always want to improve your gap to the leaders :)

I have also used this rule of thumb as a indication of a good performance, since I first was presented for it in the WRS almost 10 years ago. 👍 I only rarely get close to the golden 1 second pr minute though, but that just makes me even more happy, when I finally do. :dopey:

Another advantage of comparing to the best instead of you usual division rivals, is that every time you improve, they very often improve accordingly. So sometimes it's hard to see those huge improvements that regular and dedicated hotlapping almost always leads to. :D

Is it: div 1 100..101% div 2 102% div 3 103%?

It's actually pretty complicated.

The exact intervals vary from week to week, but on the whole division ranges are similar each week. The Division 2 range is twice the size of the Division 1 range, the Division 3 range is three times the size, and Division 4 is eight times the size. For example, the intervals could be:

100-101%: Division 1
101-103%: Division 2
103-106%: Division 3
106-114%: Division 4

These are all in relation to the "par" time; that is, the time that scores a handicap of 1.000. Of course, these can be smaller or larger as a whole depending on the results; if there is a bigger spread in the results the division intervals are adjusted accordingly.

This is just a broad overview; I don't have complete knowledge of how it all works. For instance, I have no idea how the squeeze and scoot values work. :boggled:

I'm very pleased with my result! Great S3, moved from P 82 in splits to P 53 in total 👍
Congrats to all podiums!

Congrats all winners!!
Very humbling handicapped result for me...starting to feel I took the qualifier way too seriously

Congrats to all those I have checked for running good, clean laps...I only had to double check a corner with photo mode 3 times out of all 13 laps checked 👍

A credit to the WRS morph. I'm just glad that I uploaded the right lap as I was 90% sure I ballsd up when submitting with wk3 after I spotted my quickest time was dirty when checking.

Thanks for posting the sector 3 times Gravitron, that's a big help in finding out where I lost (or everyone else gained) time. I wasn't fully satisfied with my entry into Parabolica, but I didn't realize my last sector was that bad.

Congratulations Mike. Well deserved overall victory! 👍👍👍

Well done all other podium finishers and submitters 👍👍

Great lap by you too Matthew. Very close! Like you, I'm a bit disappointed with the amount of non-submitters in D1, but when they didn't have enough time to have a proper run I can understand. But with a combo like this I expected a higher D1 crowd :dopey:

:banghead::banghead: Damned, I should have checked more closely. I checked by following the car from above (behind) and from behind I couldn't see it. I will check with more accuracy next time for shure.

Well, looks like D2 underperformed as a group once again, 75% of us with positive handicaps... we gotta wake up, boys!

Well, I am guilty. Actually I think I put at least as much time into this (my first) TT than each of the qualifier rounds, possibly more. I felt was able to improve and find time here and there, up until the point where doing a clean lap at the same pace as my ghost became extremely difficult and frustrating. With my final time I wasn't expecting a low handicap, but I really didn't expect an underperformance with a D3 time either. But that's the way it is, of course you will sometimes perform better and sometimes worse than your handicap, that is the point of the whole system. What surprised me is the fact that I didn't improve even with the amount of effort I put into it, but I have to remind myself that I'm doing this for the fun of the challenge. I will take this experience with me and hope I've learned something for future events.

Nevertheless I enjoyed the challenge, and congratulations to the guys in top with impressive times to say the least!

This verifying business is stressful.
