New splits, this time with -3 BB

26.518
18.974

I'm within .1 of my optimal lap, don't know if I can do any better. Somehow I'm starting to dislike this combo...

Just step away for a day and come back to it fresh. Usually works for me when I hit a wall with my times too.

27.110
19.302
Small improvements, Don't think I've much more left tho.
I'm taking T1/2 as 1 corner (Trying atleast) and staying in 3rd thru the esse,
Is this correct strategy?

Sort of.

You want to early Apex the first half of 1/2, while trail braking to the turn in for the second part. Get to the Apex and make sure you don't run wide at exit and cost yourself momentum.

I keep some wheel lock fed in the whole time and the brake release helps rotate the car for turn 2. And you don't need to get all the way to that back rumble, I'm about half a car width off of it.

I managed to set a new fastest time this morning but the sector 1& 2 times are slower than those I’ve submitted :indiff:
At least I know I am capable of knocking a good half a second off my time still, though doing it is another thing :lol::lol:

That’s the strategy I’ve been using. After I change to 3rd half way through the turn1/2 combo I’ve been staying in it until I’m back on the start/ finish straight.

Desperately trying to figure out the manual shifting with motion controlling. Pretty darn hard i can say. ^^
I have a whole new appreciation for DS4 drivers after spending last weekend without my wheel. I told that to @roamer2629 when we were running around Nordschleife on Tuesday night and I couldn't keep any Gr.4 car on the track (@GTP_Nail was laughing at me :P). I tried the motion steering and couldn't get the hang of it, but it's cool to see a lot of people like the feature. I also dropped back to Auto gears because I kept hitting the wrong button for up/down shift. Keep at it, @Mires and thanks again for making those decals!!! I spent over an hour last night putting them on my Roadster that I'll use for the online races, and probably could spend another few hours before I'm happy with it! :dunce:

Did anyone improved after the up date in the second sector. I can't match that sector anymore

Are you running with TCS on? I’m sure I heard the update had something to do with the TCS

Yup. I got my first few 18.4 sector 2s last night. It might be your mind playing tricks with you. It happened to me as well. For the first 20 minutes or so last night I couldn’t get near my splits, but turns out I just needed to get used to the combo again and everything felt normal.

I am glad you guys like those decals, although i am amateur in doing graphics stuff (total amateur, autodidact) i just like to hang with the Illustrator (therefore I don't mind to pay monthly sub to Adobe, to just have the opportunity to trace things i like into vector and play with it in Photoshop a bit). ^^ so i would rather call myself a copier, not artist. :embarrassed:

As for thinking about the handling, i'll just stick with AT for the moment as changing up to MT is a long term issue. :D
Btw, i started to use MC before Sport mode FIA cups tests started to be active, just after my thumbs started to hurt a lot from those sticks, and it totally caught me, didnt think i'll adapt to this so quickly, and managed quite few challenges from Campaign to gold. Those harder ones, like 8/6, 8/7, 8/8 missions, Nurb circuit challenge and so on, so it is manageable, but nothing beats the wheel experience. ^^

PS: Still no luck with getting closer to my board time...

Yes. This bullet in intended to address all settings in the in race display, including that one.

But thanks for asking/clarifying, always best.

This advice is helping me, improved my consistency in turn one. I improved my overall lap time and even sector two as I have a better line to start the “S” section.

I got caught out by the PES2018 lite game this week :dunce:;) my second short run yielded these splits:

26.638
18.730

I’d better read up on the thread and see what useful information I’ve missed out on..

No new splits, but some paint job ^^

btw, can you guys tell me if there will be interest into very own GTP WRS number plates?
4612320514149482500_0.jpg

if yes, tell me, if i can make also an inverted version, and maybe your racing number so I can make you one ^^

PS: feel free to add some ideas
PS2: there is space for 4-digit numbers in this plate, yet I feel 3-digit is sufficient enough

I'd like those decals for sure. 079 for the number.

I got a 45.010, but trimmed .1 in T3. There's maybe .05 in the whole lap for me, but I'm subbing what I got.

I couldn't just jump right into this combo and go, she takes getting used to. I HAVE to do 3-5 warm up laps and then really go for it all. If I don't...#frustration

Got the itch for some racing; after a short hiatus of 10 years decided to grab GT Sport. Now to get myself a wheel... this is one of those combos where it seems nearly impossible to maintain the smoothness required for fast times.

Anyways, nice to see some old names still alive and kickin' around the WRS, glad to be back 👍 And thanks to Jerome/the admins for fixing my name, which had been turned into a conglomeration of random characters over the years.

My best lap so far has:
26.495
18.711

Really struggling keeping a consistent line through the S curves, one small mistake just compounds on itself. On another note, is there a way to review replays frame by frame with an adjustable camera? The best I've come up with is attempting to pause the replay at a suspect spot and going into photo mode, where the camera is a adjustable - it's quite tedious trying to pause at exactly the right time.

Iceman!

As for the replays, no. I flip the camera to the on-track one to see if it gives me a better view of the tires on the track. In that mode (assuming its in position) you can go frame by frame. GL buddy!
