Pretty happy with a win!

even though i had about 0.150 to shave i couldnt improve in the end.


Well done to all podium and division finisher
I started to get a little worried seeing Bart, Matthew and Caine closing the gap just before the deadline 👍


Heres a video of my best t1, to give an idea, it is dirty on turn 1 by like a millimeter, but thats mainly the line i tried to use..
what i was trying to do is brake hard and used the middle of the small entry on left as a brake point (please note theres a delay in the replay for teh braking, i brake slightly sooner than it look..), and near the end of braking i merge toward the apex and then downshift in 1st gear to let the car rotate (cut the apex as much as possible) and then shift in 2nd gear to prevent excessive oversteer and keep speed.

then downshift in 1st again to help turn-in, cut the apex as much as you can again, and wait after the 2nd apex to shift in 2nd gear, getting on throttle slowly but soon, and go full throttle when almost straight...

then follow the inside as much as you can, the closer to the white line the better, it seem to turn more when really close.. and it shave more time staying on inside...

I couldn't be happier with my third sector I moved up 20 spots 👍 This car was one arnry animal and I did have to hold back before I pushed my foot through the floor board. I think this car is one of the best looking cars in the game and the handling was a dream on stall sliding. That thing just slides so predictably and when it would set, there wasn't any kind of jolt or disruption. It just purred and stepped up, another great call for this combo.

What a great turnout this week and the attrition is so small. I sure hope everyone is getting what they are looking for from these great contest. I think that just being able to hit D2 times is enough for me and if I don't end up on another podium until an off road combo surfaces I won't be bummed out. Great job everyone........

Thanks for that Lucas. Well firstly, yeah, busy week and I ended up only spending about half an hour total on this When I came to run it over the weekend, I didn't have much fun to be honest... ...and I'm not a big fan of Monza personally. That and the fact that my run earlier in the week was pretty sub-standard and I'm not quite magnanimous enough to submit such a pathetic effort just to make everyone else feel better about themselves.

If some really like going into details:

For the chicane of t2, you had to cut the apex as much as you can braking limit and aim straight to the 2nd apex cutting it as much as you can as well.

For lesmo 1 and the parabolica, it was better going slightly wide on entry, for a faster exit, same for ascari where you go slightly slower on the first part cutting the apexes and accelerate through the last part in a straighter line and gain more speed than trying to keep more speed through it with slower exit.

For Lesmo 2, you had to get half the car over the apex, being careful not touching the apex with left or right wheels., slow entry and get on throttle slightly before apex.

Wow, what a nice surprise. I went from 74th in the splits to 49th in the results, so I guess my third sector was pretty decent.
Before the first WRS event, I set a goal for myself to aim for a top 5 in the Division 3 Bronze class. Last week I was 2nd, this week 1st. So that's very satisfying.
Although this was only the second week, I already have the feeling I improved my driving skill a little bit.
Congrats to Mike and all the other division winners. 👍
