Not sure how this would work. I do have second screen on my phone. Doesn’t the PS4 console need to be turned on for it to work? Pm me if explains it here doesn’t work so well.

Al

Al, do a quick google search for PS4 remote play. Not sure what breed of phone you have but if it's an Android then you just download an app (don't know about apple I hate the things). Pair it with your PS4 and leave your PS4 in standby. You can then do almost every thing you can normally do but from your phone. You only need the DS4 if you actually want to play games from your phone otherwise the app will give you a virtual controller on your phone to use.

I should let you know that you will need a good WiFi signal for it to work and it doesn't work over your phones data, it only works over WiFi

Hope that help mate and sorry about the deadline conflict but we can't really do much about it.

Hmm, not sure it's that simple. I'm trying it right now on my Galaxy S7 and the only app you can officially get on Google Play Store is "PS4 Second Screen". When you follow the directions, indeed you can wake the PS4 from rest mode, then the phone app is only a controller and you still have to have the TV on and be present, and I couldn't see how to get a DS4 hooked to the phone to control it that way. Searching harder it seems Sony have limited the availability of the actual seeing of the PS4 screen on the phone to Sony devices. Found a YT video that explained how to download a "slightly tweaked" PS4 Remote Play (note: not Second Sceen as mentioned above) app that can run on any android, and I think this functionality is what would be needed for us to remotely share replays on GTS. But tons of comments say it doesn't work on non-Sony devices anymore unless you root the phone. If you have a laptop running Windows 8.1 or 10, there's a windows/mac app that looks like it might be able to show the screen, but I only have Windows 7 so the install fails.

Might still be a way around this, but my attention span for it has elapsed. :indiff:

No worries guys. I tried to remove my submission. Not sure it worked but I won’t be submitting this week. Even if I could figure out how to submit, I won’t be taking time away from the family vacation to do so. My division placement will have to wait for another time. Thanks again.

First 3 official laps, although I did maybe 10+ laps since the weekend in online rooms testing for the online races tire/fuel usage. Cutting it short to go watch FP1 at China GP.

Probably another half-sec in it on a perfect lap for me. I avoided the bollard by a good few feet! :scared:

Problem is that Fetchy has been on strike with removals and the only thing we can do about them is black flag them.

Case in point, look at weeks 15 and 16 for me. Those were test submissions while trying to figure out what the board was doing.

I finally had more than 10 minutes to play with my new CSL Elite Pedals and when I got around to putting max resistance on them, it was instantly sublime. I thought the CSR Elite pedals were load cell, nuh uh, this the real mccoy. I got within a couple tenths of my previous best circuit experience laps. One good thing/bad thing, the gas pedal has more draw to it for more accurate throttle control, (woo!) but it also kills my calf. But I figured out I can go 3mm away from the stopper and still be at 100% throttle and lego plate pieces just happen to be 3mm soo.....

Anyway, maybe Sunday I can try turning some laps here as I'm always horrible here (and Bathurst), I need the practice

I hate this circuit, especially when I can't take my usual line out of turn 4.

Finally ran another session on this one.

Yes Colin turn 4 is a killer in this car, getting it just right so the torque steer pulls you just wide enough to keep 2 wheel legal is a lucky dip bag, shell I now, no wait, now, oh go on then, ah crap :grumpy: should have waited longer.

Here’s my latest efforts. I’m probs done now as working now for next 4 days on lates and on call. Will leave open before submitting as I may get an hour Monday night before deadline. As for this lap I do t think I can beat it as my splits in general aren’t massively improved, but my god I got a fantastic last split where I literally threw it into the last turns and managed to blast my overall optimum time out the water.

You guys talking about how hard turn 4 is. For me, the real killer turn is the turn 3, you need to take this turn precise to get the correct line to turn 4, if you 🤬 turn 3, you lose much more time than in turn 4 with corrections to keep it wide enough to not be to wide on exit. I literally hate turn 3. 🤬:ouch::crazy:

I agree! Turn 3 is the make or break for me too!

That being said I got it close to right with this lap. Just a couple of tenths off my optimal now.

Managed a cheeky 26 miles and matched my first three sectors and gained in sector 4. Loving this week, this is the track I know the best having done many laps of it on GT5.

2 tenths off optimal, most of which is in sector 1 and that damn turn 3 and 4 combo.
