Quick half hour before the wife got home...

T1 14.709 (very scruffy!)
T2 30.227

Tricky, but soooooo much more fun than the mini.

T1: 0'14.956
T2: 0'31.024

So even the little tiny scrapes are illegal?
Fieuww, it's narrow.

Any wall touch is not a clean lap. Even if the armco jumps out and grabs you, it's not a clean lap.

I've moved the wheel to the 3rd place in my room, much better set-up now, doesn't hurt to race, definitely going to grab a nice 19" HD TV at some point, but for now, it works. Not going to get any time to race to be competitive with the wheel this week. My target is simply to break a 31 at T2, small steps with this new fandangled device.

The car is awesome lots of fun to drive and yes much better than the mini! (dont know why i even submitted week 20 very rushed)
So far my splits are:
T1: 14.660
T2: 30.115
improvement to first and last sector possible.

Early Splits from my first session, this happens to be my only clean lap so far, because I can't see the walls well at all.:ouch: I really wish I could turn on the headlights, if the headlights have good illumination.💡

T1- 14.772
T2- 30.427

New Splits:

T1: 14.643
T2: 30.108

Is it just me, or do the timimg differences to your ghost go a bit weird at times, sometimes completely wrong.

GTP tagged names are showing up on the online leader board. So once more:

Your run must be done while being OFF LINE

I'm gonna have to have a go at this. I love London, I've just been putting a lot of effort into EYS this week(double points). Only trouble is, time. Only chance I'll get to have a go of this is tomorrow night. So I may get smashed in the results this week.

EDIT: I agree Paulie.

So does anyone agree with me that headlights on high-beam would be a huge help in London?:)

I wouldn't mind those for the section right after T2. For the rest of the track visibility is OK for me. :)

It's OK, as in you can "deal with it", right?:sly: Anyway, back on topic, I should have lots of time tomorrow to put in some laps on this.:) I'm not good at tight little tracks like this though.:ouch:

Edit: I couldn't help noticing that Fuzzy's updated times were never put in from a while back either:

T1 14.626
t2 30.131

Animera and Ausnicko, your times are astounding and I think your results in Event 02 and WRS clearly indicate you don't belong in Division 3.

I have to ask though guys, and please don't take any offence as it's a genuine inquiry, how long did you spend on the qualifier RX-7 at Fuji? The reason I ask is because out of interest and curiosity I spent an hour in the morning on it yesterday and a further hour in the evening and I am already within one tenth of a Division 1 silver time...and I am clearly not a Division 1 standard driver, I'm D2 bronze and using Sixaxis. I didn't even win Division 2 in event 02.

Again, please take no offence, this is a genuine curiosity for me. Also I must re-iterate how impressive your times are in WRS, you guys are fantastic clearly! 👍

All the best
Maz

Oh my God, not even that?

What I'm trying to demonstrate is that I'm clearly D2 because by not winning the division my status in D2 was confirmed, but with just a small amount of time was able to produce a half-decent laptime in the registry qualifier (even though I did the previous qualifier), so I'm trying to determine whether these good folks spent very little time on the qualifier, or maybe they just found that particular combo of RX7 at Fuji particularly difficult.

I meant no disrespect to you Thomas, you beat me fair and square. More than once I might add 👍

I apologise to everyone for dragging this off topic, I'll shut up now :D

All the best
Maz

Finally starting to hook this up and get used to the wheel.

14.805
30.705

I'd like to think I can squeeze a 30.5 at T2, I know I don't have the long right correct, maybe like with the left-right before it, I'll get it right through chance.

:)

Please give it another try, those div3 guys from down-under are still right on your tail! :dopey:
I'll sure do, T1 &T2 were almost perfect, I could still improve T3 by .1s - .2s

No offence taken Maz, and I've been asked this quite often in the online chat. Its really quite simple. I've played GT since GT4, and always with a controller. I never knew about GTP. After I got GT5P I was racing online and had some good races with GTP_Joeninety, so I googled GTP and found the forum. Naturally I wanted to join, so i read up the qualifying thread and followed the instructions. I ran the qualifier for 3 days and submitted my best time.

Then I was reading threads in the forum, and learned that GT was much more enjoyable with a wheel so I went and got a DFGT. I was all over the place with the wheel and was ready to throw it in the cupboard and go back to the controller, when I found a thread on wheel settings. Four months later and I find myself where I am today.

So, in summary, my qualifier was done with a controller with all aids on (I knew no better), to the best of my ability. Since getting my wheel I have improved a lot. Thats it, back to London again.

Can you link me to the wheel settings thread, or tell us where it is? Would be useful seeing as I have just brought a DFGT.
