Yes Mike had them pedals from day one when they first started selling this wheel could be it needs some TLC now after all these years.
I had a similar issue but with the g29, was just showing some white and was enough to cost a few mph, I think mine was fluff off the rug cos after I hoovered it out and restarted it cleared

While doing some warm-up laps in modified race (points purposes) I was surprised by the grip level on these tires. Tonight I lapped some more for first combo splits. Less grip all round in arcade mode?!?!
It was only when I got to the splits and the leaderboard that I found out the combo was not on full but on the East track

I noticed that in the E30 at Tsukuba. Granted, I was not able to match my Arcade Mode time trial times, but the car felt easier to handle.

We tested this combo online on Friday night, and I would say that yes, it seems a bit more difficult in Arcade Mode. Slight difference, but different.

Some of this might be the comfort tires specifically.

First day splits after nearly 80 miles run (with inevitable restarts - due to sliding off at turn 1 & 2, overdriving the Ess'es and hitting the permanent track cones at turn 7 & 8 !).

As this is a re-run of a previous WRS event with a FR car - albeit faster and with less grippy tyres - it would be unfair to call them initial splits as have the benefit of doing much of the 'experimenting' in the previous event plus also had the benefit of great advice from the Draggin Weights mailbox conversations since then and today - thanks team mates

So over next few days will be looking to run lots of laps to build up consistency of approach, thereby, hopefully unlocking further time improvements. Given the track length/type and nature of the challenge i.e throttle control, suspect will be eking out slight improvements rather than dramatic reductions........

Looks like me and you will be rivals this week. You got me by .6 already. Let's see what I can do tonight after the advice of our teammates.

Still at BB +2
Improved (.032) at the line.

24.202
18.313

Need to figure out turn one a bit better, seem to be stuck. Still a bit messy when I ease off of the brake. Wide entry or an early apex, nothing seems to help my exit speed.

Most of my laps are within (.200) maybe this is it for me.

This is a tricky matchup for sure im running bb -2, or to the front just for turn 1 lol

Used the advice of my teammates and knocked a full second off my best time. Optimal also improved by a second. Thanks everyone for the advice, 3rd is definitly the gear to use.👍

Seen faster S1 but then S2 were bad, or vice versa, but it is coming together.:banghead:

First few laps of the week. After realizing my first controller had issues with the R2, i changed controllers and finally i could get 100% throttle response. Im sure i could go back and finish some of the challenges i was having trouble with.

Another run at this tonight...improved (.300) at the line. Using third gear for the whole lap other than 4th on the straight. Still at +2 BB and braking a bit earlier (and trail braking more) for turn one to avoid the whole snap oversteer when downshifting to third as much as I can.

Getting close to my limit with this one.

I gained a whole second when I realised staying in third was far quicker!

That snap oversteer!! <drifting is not quicker drifting is not quicker>

Makes you feel like a pro when you drive out of it cleanly. I accidently made this happen with my partner in the car - when pulling out onto the highway, I went over the crest in the middle of the road and the back swung waaay out - with a car gaining on us at highway speed. I booted it, opposite lock and hoped. "I swear I didn't mean to do that"...i'll never forget that grin she had on her face!!

Nice improvement there captain:tup:. Clearly I need to work on S2 as not seen a sub 19 yet.

Don't let the sub 19' fool you. I only had 3 sub 19's in 54 laps., until this morning, ran 20 laps and I would say by the last ten I was getting sub 19's pretty consistently. Set a new PB and had multiple laps within striking distance.

times from this morning

not much improvement but .2 faster at line. :D I think I have another .5 until I am at my limit.

BB -5 aka Stopyabastard mode

Pretty sure comfort softs are made out of fluffy kitten paws. Adorable but somewhat lacking traction.

Well, cats do have all wheel drive, but if I wanted to offer them some advice, it would be to brake sooner, and to be patient with the go pedal. ;)
