thanks for checking Kevin , and for the analysis !
Ok, that explains it. I didn't update my times before I submitted. Noted for this week.If your splits on the LB were correct, then the sector 3 is computed by subtracting your T2 time from your final time. If you submitted a lap but didn't submit the corresponding splits, that could explain wrong T3 times...
I've added your correct splits to the table.Ok, that explains it. I didn't update my times before I submitted. Noted for this week.
For me, I am a bit inefficient as I switch between wheel and ds3 quite a bit these days, it happens when your set up is in your bedroom, bed from ds3, it's fine. But it's way more immersive with a wheel.Amazing work Kevin!! Dedication is the word that comes to mind. Only a bit jealous that I'm not getting that healthy dose of advice this week...
Regarding DS3: I can't say how big an achievement it is from ItsAllaboutWins to keep pace with D1. Congrats on that. No chance to get a decent wheel for a fair price here in Argentina. A DS3 will get you back 100USS, a g27 wheel 500USS. Now that's more than a mortgage payment for me and very difficult to justify, even to myself.
Anyone remembers how much time they gained on average when they switched from DS3 to a wheel? It's something I would like to know...
Ummmm... I "found" this page while surfing the Forum at 0230 last night and was totally taken aback when I found my name...not a the bottom but mixed in with D 3 in the overall and then I searched all over the place for how I placed in the handicapped. I damn near choked on my brandy when I finally found my name in the stratosphere. Then I continued down and found the thread and read EDKs evaluation of my lap....Congratulations to all who made this tough TT very well done.
I did better then I had expected and now know how to tackle T1.
@Nail-27 good job Ned and you won the Handicapped results after the DQ of Dangerzone

In general, you can get on the throttle sooner coming out of most turns. And you can be full throttle sooner, this is not a car that needs you to hold 90% throttle for a period of time, just get it to the floor once you are laying into it. If you start to lose the car, use the wheel to control it, it does not have enough power to get away from you.
You lose a lot by turning in late for turn 3, not carrying enough momentum, and not getting into the cambered groove. A bit of the same in 4. You waited much too long to get on full throttle for turn 5, which should be flat out until the last turn, so you've lost momentum.
Most of your lost time is in the last sector. You can take the uphill right/left after the T2 split flat, no need to lift for it. Just turn into the first right hander aggressively, and then bring the car back to the left steadily.
The last turn, you brake too early, don't carry enough momentum in, and don't carry far enough to the back before turn in. Turning in early causes you to have to lift before getting back on for the exit. If you carry all the way to the back, you can make it a super late apex and just hammer out of there.
I was 40 before I even started playing GT3 so you've got plenty of time yet. I just gave away a DF-GT but I've still got my G25. The pedals don't have the housing as I mounted them to the base plate of my rig and I don't have the shifter box but otherwise it works and I was using it up until a month or so ago when I switched to the T500. If you give me your address I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping.
Edited: It's a G25 not G27, sorry for the typo. For the most part they're the same except the G25 has two buttons versus six on the G27.
PS. Congrats Ned ... S A N D B A G G E R
