Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 26 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck,
OLR Admin Team:gtpflag:

Awesome 👍

I won't be very competitive here for sure, but it will be a fantastic combo for learning to use a wheel better

All the best
Maz

Well this will be fun, with the Aston being my dreamcar in the real world (tho it handles a bit pigly in the game :)) and Suzuka being sort of the home turf of Prologue - or isn't it - so the only bad points I can think of are the 100% weight and the S2 tyres that Arcade tells us to use

Bad thing is that I won't be around for the bigger part of the week as it's spring holiday in our region and we'll be doing absolutely nothing somewhere in the south of Belgium where they don't even have Prologue facilities ...

Now this sounds fun. I've never done well at suzuka, so this will be a good opportunity to learn the track properly.

I know!! Going to the south of Belgium is like going back in time about 25 years :sly:
Enjoy your holiday!!

I was right, this is really good fun. Just had a quick few laps, here's my splits to get the ball rolling.

T1: 1.00.714
T2: 1.50.842.

Still loads of time to come off that.

Matt.

Yep matt1245's lap time is quick, I'm a few tenths off it right now too. Unfortunately, I've gone spastic and hit an early wall, I can't get my head around the lowsy turn-in, I hate lowsy turn-in.

OK, I'm not proud. We all have to start somewhere with this. :dunce:

My first 5-lap taster

1'01.416
1'51.848

That puts me 2nd then :D

My first run this week yielded the following splits:

T1: 1:00.899
T2: 1:51.345

Quite a bit of time to come off still as I could have taken a lot of turns better.
I'm still getting used to the understeering under braking and tail happiness under acceleration.

This car is not making me happy.:irked: I can't figure out how to drive it, it seems like the worse I drive the faster it goes.:odd:  BAH! My best lap WAS a 1'51.5 split, have seen 1'51.1 even, have driven well enough to go faster again only to throw it away in the next corner.

I'm in my first run at the moment and hating every minute of it.:D I think 1'50.3xx has been my best T2 split. But still probably a bit more to come off that, but not much maybe 0.2-0.3. I'll go and have a bit more of a run and be back to post full split times.

I think if I could put all my best corners together I'd be a whole second faster to T2 alone.:grumpy:

T1- 1'01.007
T2- 1'51.287

 Nice splits.

You've all got no taste. It's a lovely car to drive lol.

It's a tuner's dream. Nice sound, good looks, power potential and rather tame and predictable, but handles like crap. If I could change brake balance alone I suspect I'd drop quite a bit off my time.

I'll post my splits tomorrow, in bed now. I got caught doing MNR tonight.

Ugh, horrible combo. Like driving a greased pig round a tiled floor.

1'01.665
1'52.314

"Room for improvement" would be an understatement. Let's just say I'm "making good use of the track". Ahem.

MNR?

Interesting combination, love the sound of the car as the throttle hits 3.5-4k rpm. Struggling to get out of the 1'53s for T2. Well known that I despise Suzuka.

My first splits:

T1: 1.03.274
T2: 1.55.070

I've been about 1 second quicker at T2 but forgot to save that one:ouch: Actually was doing a lap that was 0.5 quicker at T1, and much faster trough that hairpin after T1, only too throw it away at that far end section of suzuka. Out of frustration turned off my PS3 without saving my fastest lap up until then :grumpy:. Next time I'll save every time I'll beat my old lap record. Ah well, still a full week too go.

Managed to knock myself down to a 1'51.9xx T2 but cut the chicane too tight... "Next lap invalidated" tends to make me want to launch everything into orbit from my sofa.
