This is kind a tricky with controller :scared:, but sofar my splits are:

T1 1'01.558
T2 1'52.142

Hopefully I break into 1.51's before friday.
Got my hands full from friday on untill the end of this week's WRS. :ouch:

First splits. Seen a 1'01.400 at T1 so hopefully in the 1'51's this week, well thats my target.

T1 1'01.637
T2 1'52.156

Sorry lads not had much time recently to be able to assign to GT5P, infact I missed last week altogeather which was somewhat dissapointing.

Managed to get a quick half hour in on Week 26 this evening though. Came up with,

T1 - 1'01.273
T2 - 1'52.138

Time to come, will find time for another stab later this week.

Cheers,

Mav

I have to say, having completed 5 tentative laps this morning in a very brief taster session in the DB9, when everything goes to plan it's a beautiful combo and incredibly satisfying.

I did however make tonnes and tonnes of mistakes in my first tester laps (hence only 5 laps completed!) and foresee an incredible amount of difficulty for me this week. Suzuka is definitely the final frontier when it comes to pad/wheel transition. Turn 1 is just a massive pot of possibilities at the moment: Too wide gravel, too tight inner gravel, too slow early apex, too fast wide exit. This was so much easier on Sixaxis I must say. This is such a complex corner, I am watching the speedo, watching my line as I continuously turn in, trying to nail an invisible braking point for the second apex, trying to gently come off the brakes...man.

Congratulations to the top D2 runners for their incredible times already. I'm very far from being able to post any splits, but I am really looking forward to my first proper session.

All the best
Maz

Damn.. Had some hard time trying to improve my T1 haha.. thought there were plenty of time, well there is. just couldn't pull it together yet. Maybe in the next session. :) But a much better T2 still.

T1: 1'00.892
T2: 1'50.747

Gettin' smoked like usual :indiff: Good splits guys.

it's easy to see where to make time on this combo, but it's a different matter actually doing it.

New splits.

T1: 1.00.554
T2: 1.50.694

Matt.

2nd session, small improvement:
T1: 1'00.963
T2: 1'51.016

Hmm, some of you guys are getting close to me already, I need to improve my T3, hope T1 can improve too and carry to T2.:)

First splits...4 hours in:

T1: 1'00.815
T2: 1'51.645

Have seen several 1'00.6xxs.
Losing all kinds of chunks from the hairpin through spoon and the run up the hill :ouch::grumpy:
This is gonna be a rough one.

Finally learning how to drive this car. New splits:

T1: 1:00.636
T2: 1:50.780

I've had it for 3 weeks today :)

All the best

Cool, Congrats mate...Sure feels nice with the H-Pattern  as for the hustle of when to break, when to turn and when to hit the gas i totally agree with you, I'm in the same problem been a month since i had it now :dunce:

Board Updated
2nd session came out with nothing all the improvements i saw T1 1'51.7xx and wasted coming out of spoon

Edit:

Board updated, Andy...You don't suck mate, if we were running this event on free run and not arcade mode it would have been different, the car needs a lot of toe out at the back, more steering angle, ABS+2 (I like to break late :D ) and the most needed thing loosing weight...Damn that car is too heavy :grumpy: I keep loosing the tail coming out of spoon :banghead:

Today's "progress":

T1: 1.02.266
T2: 1.53.260

I suck :guilty:

No worries, mate. I still haven't found the courage to post my splits so far. If I recall correctly, I'm about 1,1 sec behind you at this time :scared:

Needless to say, I'm not loving this car at all

Finally had a go at one of these events, I feel a bit embarrassed to post my times, but...

T1 1.02.591
T2 1.54.033

I can knock some time off, went wide at the hairpin, and I hate that corner after it, I always get it wrong.

do you mean spoon or the long right-hander?

It's a tough combo Luke, finding the point just before it's arse snaps out is the difference in a few seconds.

I've started to shout at the TV now.:banghead:
O.3 up at T1, good hairpin, then binned it at Spoon.
0.3 up at T2, then wimped out through 130R and lost it all by the time I reached the chicane.

I'm the same Duke.

0.3 up at T2 to my fastest lap and only beat it at the line by 0.001
been hitting 130R fine and just flying through saw the big blue letters come up and under 1'52 and for some reason just wimped out at 130R. At least i've broken that 1'52 with a clean lap.

T1 1'01.268
T2 1'51.731

The one after the right hander, didn't know it was called spoon. I always brake to late and run wide into the gravel.

Well brake sooner. Slow in fast out. ;)

This could be of use to you then. 👍

For what its worth lukeB I normally get on the brakes about a car length before the wee road on the right and aim the car between the driving line and the curb on the left but I'm no expert.
