I know I know, I don't have a gtp tag and I'm not q'd to run the 'new' wrs but I still think of you all as my fam so I'll lay out 2 cents when I thinks it's meaningfull. Hope that's ok.

BTW I've been running the q and hope to jump back in soon, looks like you all have been having a crackin time here 👍

Hey Erik, (like I said earlier in the back channels) great to have you back with us here in WRS, hope (and trust) you'll do a decent Div1 worthy qualification and play with us soon 👍

About Dan ... well no verdict here - of course-, but I do hope stuff will get sorted out one way or another.

You have to understand sjaak that people have a life, I may have read the Pm's but I didn't really have the time to reply or to upload the replay, couldn't be bothered to be honest, doesn't mean I should be eliminated from the next race, thats the whole point of this, I understand I made an error in ignoring you, I appologise for it, but the point is I had already put in the hours for this race, and I feel that just by simply ignoring a few PM's, does not warrant such a punishment as to exclude me from the following race, therfore meaning I waisted 2-3 hous for nothing, it's not an appropriate punishment in my opinion, and what was even more ridiculous was the way you dealt the punishment, didn't even tell me, and waited for me to react in the results thread, making this whole situation public when it could have quite easily have been dealt in private, therefore avoiding this public pathetic character assasinating, seeing who can come up with the best comeback, situation, just childish

In summary and conclusion, I accept the descision, and will move on, it's the principle that I was attacking, the vibe, just didn't sit well.

There is no character assasination Dan, you gotta realize that gtp and the wrs are always much bigger then one guy. Yes everyone has a life but by joining a 'club', 'race league' whatever you want to call it, there are rules and such. More important there is a demand for respect, most here respect you so why would you not respect us?

You see by saying "couldn't be bothered to be honest" means lack of said respect, so you could be bothered to run the race and win which is great but can't bother to follow through? Lame

You did not waste hours for nothing, we all want to see what you can do and at least I personally use your times as an impossible bench mark, I like very much seeing the green bloods in these things so I have something to shoot for

It's not much of a punishment really, you could always go ahead and post up your replay for all to see

As far as public and privite, I think you've been down that road already, this is apropreate action seeing as the wrs is a whole comunity and we all have a say.

Chin up mate, and please continue to run. I'm asking as a personal favor, just follow the rules and set a good example for everyone else, like I said before you are sick with skill and knowledge but you can't go letting that go to your head. Think of it this way, 90% of the wrs peps would be tickled pink to have their times challenged the way yours are and probably 99% of them would play by the rules.......

couldn't be bothered is an ok excuse, it means uploading my replay for that week was not my priority, due to the fact that it wasn't a winning time, so not many people would really want to view it, as they would have Timpaq's super run to analyze/learn from, i guess i should have worded it better than I couldn't be bothered.

Surely you must be aware that every time you enter WRS you will be in the top three and therefore most likely and according to the rules required to post a replay. Why not just prepare the replay at the same time you are submitting your time so that you only have to upload it when the results are posted. It's a matter of seconds.

I see your point, as I said to sjaak in my reply to his messages, I had planned to upload both replays simultaneously to save time, but I guess he had already made up his mind that he was going to exclude me from the results for week 26, so that message was useless or irrelevant. It wasn't a priority lap time so hence I didn't rush to upload it, probably it just boils down to I'm lazy lol. and also the **** happens idea, that always explains things the best.

Well, Sjaak is the wrs mod and his word goes around here, I think he does a great job and tbh I would not want it for all the bananas in the world

Everything you say is all well and good but this is not a one time deal as you know, if you where an average Joe this would go unnoticed, or you would be banned and that would be unnoticed. The reality is that you have been repeatedly given kind treatment because of your talent, realize that and you just might repeatedly do the right thing.

It's not that hard mate, with greatness comes much responsability so please grow up or go home.

If you're too busy to post a replay, but have time to read the PM, just hit the reply button and type 'Sorry Sjaak, I am really busy at the moment, I won't be able to post the replay. Please DQ me for this weeks race'. Then hit send. Takes about 10 seconds. You get a DQ for just the race and people move on. Simple.

It should be your priority to make sure before you participate in a wrs event that you can complete it.Also the GTP admins. have a life too,they dont deserve to be spoken to like that especially after all the hard work they do to make a forum like this. You broke the rules no one else!! I expected a bit more from a division 1 Gold driver.

Haha, wish it was that simple, but I hate typing pointless messages, or wasting time by hitting unnescessary buttons and links, Its all just a pointless task when the replay is not required by anyone, I determined that no one would want the replay or would be interested in viewing the replay to gain tips or techniques, as all the tips would be found, as I mentioned earlier, in Timpaq's run, so I did absolutely nothing about anything that involved the week 26 replay, including completely ignoring sjaak. That was a mistake and I regret ignoring such a valuable member of the GT community, and would like to take the time to appologise to sjaak for describing him as a jerk, during my frustrations of yesterday.

Replay not invaluable as you need to prove your time, also some of us might like to see how you run more then how Temo runs for whatever reasons we have.......

Minor yes, but not the first time, so a progressive domino effect Stupid, of course but you need to see that it absolutely DOES effect everyone? If one of the best does not bother with replay then why should the rest? If that's the case then we should all simply write lies on a piece of paper. I've never questioned your honesty or cleanliness but come come, one show, we all show, or none show.

I think you know better from past experience Dan It's not all about watching the 1st place persons lap for tips/techniques! ... even though the majority will watch the winning lap to see how it was done 👍

But really for your own satisfaction it should be about having a mutual respect for your fellow competitors and posting your replay in the results to show your participation was valid and totally within the rules! even if you finish 2nd or 3rd place on a bad week and have no blemish to your good name over a 10 year OLR career

replay uploading via the PS3 is a doddle nowadays compared to the old max drive and xport crap from the PS2 days, there's no excuses ... you simply gotta stop being so lazy dude

Yeah, it was kind of a stupid week as I submitted after 1 session, a bad error, so from then on I kind of knew gathering by Timpaq's split updates, that my time would be beaten, kind of felt a bit degected and very uninterested in the remainder of what week26 would bring/materialise. I think lets just say I acted poorly from start to finish, gave myself limited chance of winning, and then to kick it off, didn't even bother uploading my replay, so yeah, the more I think of it, the more I realize that the excuses I came up with were just sentences designed to cover my stupidity. Yep, enough said, great combo regardless:tup:

No need to submit a replay as you came 7th in your division... only top 3 in each division are required to provide replays.

If your asking if you need to post your replay, then the answer is no.
Most weeks the podium finishers from each division are required to post their replay.

You can post your replay if you want to though.
