I wanted to check replays , may be i can give a try at reviewing a lap or 2 by7 answering to previous post.
Can someone tell me where I went wrong in sector two?
@RoeszaGT legendary checking, thanks.
That was a nice lap! lot of area we used the same line,
for the long right hand before the small hill in t1 you touched the curb on the first apex, i dont know if it was planned but its something to avoid it will throw the car on outside otherwise it was great!
then after the small hill the main difference is that you shifted to 4th gear, what that did is produce understeer and it thrown the car slightly to the right you had to downshift and turn quickly making it slow down after apex.
The approach there was keeping 3rd and try to run slightly on grass on left and lift slightly early, do the weight transfer off throttle and accelerate as you go past the apex ( as soon as possible without touching the wall on exit...) in my run the weight transfer was not perfect (its supposed to slide slightly) and i ran too much on Inside on the curb...
What happened next is that the curb made your car unstable and then you merged on Inside too early before the loop, when you tried to slow down for the loop entry your car was pointing too much toward the outside already, it slowed you down more and just to come back into the line it traveled more distance as well, then it was good , but after the bump you hesitated too long, you could have accelerate full throttle and turn more progressively toward the Inside very close and then just let the car go on outside to help, you would have gained 2 kmh on top of the hill.
You can see it in the video i posted, for t2, its mostly keeping left before entry , slow down as you merge on Inside, slow down just enought to be able to go full throttle really close almost up to the bump, it can drift on outside slightly (middle of track), then just before the bump lift and wait a little then accelerate and turn progressively close to the Inside and then let it go on outside even running half the car over the curb if needed being careful not running over it...
You had a great entry for the first corner of t3, very fast!
Then for the last part after the chicane you shifted to 3rd too soon wich produced a little understeer, you had to accelearate smoother and traveled more distance because of that, overall it was great!
I watched your lap, and I'm still not sure how you found 4 tenths more in t3. Amazing.
You had a great lap just everything was done slightly late or agressively, for this combo and most stock car combo i like to see the front tire grip as a battery cell that will discharge when theres wear on the tire and recharge while you are easy on them.. did i just said that
That mean if you abuse the front tires before you really need them you will be slower if you still have to steer, i know it sound obvious but its always good to remember if you start wondering why you are losing time while feeling on the limit.
thats what happened for the loop especialy when you touched the bump at the end, the car got propelled on outside because the front was already too hot and you really had to abuse the tires to get back in the line after the bump, your speed on top of the hill was 187kmh, by lifting slightly before the bump you would have been able to merge on Inside and cut the travel distance a lot and hit about 189kmh on the top of the hill after the loop making you shave more time by running closer on Inside and hit more speed in same time
For t3 just before the hairpin you turned to the left to have a better line for exit, thats another place where its quicker to keep a shorter travel distance, and use 1st gear to have more turn-in, in this case i used the stronger rear brake bias, helped with the downshift to 1st and quickly releasing the brakes it make the rear kinda lose grip and just wait for the front grip before getting back into throttle.
For the chicane you entered slightly fast and turned too sharply using all the front tires ''battery'' wich thrown it off line and the car got pushed on outside after the chicane making it travel more distance without gaining more speed.
Slowing down just a little sooner before the chicane would have allowed you to keep Inside and keep the grip for the last part.
in t1 before the small hill theres a long right hand, you kept outside before getting in the corner (wich is logic to help keeping more speed) thats another area where shorter travel distance is better, in this case it was possible to keep it relatively close on Inside without losing too much front grip but it was tricky, and the last part of that right hand corner just before the hill was very important to run very close to the apex, you can lose a car lenght just by running a car width more on left... even though it doesnt feel like it will change something.
Sorry for the long read
