Had to turn the living room upside down to find my usb stick, wasn't expecting to be asked for a replay this week. :)

Fun week for sure, but a bit weird for me. The car felt like it wanted to understeer and the usual trick of max/min ride height just didn't work for me on this combo. The snappy turn-in was there but in the long sweeping corners it felt like I started to drift wide like you get in a 4wd. I tried everything, AS on/off, braking harder/less, gentle/heavy throttle. I ended up where I started at 0/0 and it just felt like I could hold higher speed through every long turn on the track. Didn't change the other settings too much since I have no idea what I'm doing, but I think I may be the most un-tuneable driver ever; I tried 20/20 springs and ran the exact same lap times. I tried 1/1 roll-bars and ran the exact same lap times. The little I did with rest felt like it barely made any difference at all in handling. The only settings I could make out any difference at all was the aforementioned ride height and LSD.

Anyway, about the results I think all has been said. MadMax is clearly D1 material, WRP doesn't want to stay with his buddies in D3. Also I take full credit for Ealirendur's success since I convinced him to join the league in the first place! ;) Congratulations to Rutter on another great lap, I couldn't catch that if I had another month, too bad about marky's submission though.

PAL replay below

- Sweet lap. Looks just like mine but a bit faster through every bend. :sly: 👍 Great win, mate.

- Another sweet lap Jonas. Chasing me to the line - damned close this week lad.

- Nice tidy lap. 👍 A little hesitant on the throttle in places but good lines. Try and get on the throttle only once and then stay on it. Too much on/off throttle unbalances the car and doesn't maximise exit speed.

- Tidy. 👍 As above, hesitant on the throttle. A racing car requires bravery on the throttle to maximise downforce and grip. Push hard and they reward you in the high speed bends.

5---1'15.815---GTP_MikaelK (Verified)

- Clean 👍 As above, trust the car will grip when you enter a bend and same when you get back on the throttle. This car had so much grip relative to its power, you could really thrash it through most of this circuit. And try and stay tight to the inside curb when cornering to maximise both grip and exit speed.

Thanks for checking mate 👍
I'll try to check some replays tomorrow after the 3d3 race. (if there are any left)

Congratulations to all division and podium winners

Special word for:
Rutter on a great win!
My mate Chris that it´s getting faster and faster 👍 (and that dirt lap... :sly:) and above all for being allways here helping everybody with is great tunes

Pekka...get out of here :sly:👍
Great fight with Biffy and jack, you guys really deserved it 👍

Usual Suspect...I thought you and I were competing for the D2 win not for 3rd. It was quite a battle. One I thought for sure I had lost.

As i already said, my T3 was really poor (saw that after a split of 52.6xx and almost my final time) but didn´t have time during the weekend and last night i was so out of pace that wasn´t even funny :grumpy:

A mention for WRP, mate you belong on D2 👍

Big thanks to all the WRS crew:cheers:

Thank you for the feedback.. Really appreciated!! 👍
And you are so 'spot on'.. I didn't trusted the car to keep on track, so waited long to apply throttle. And keeping it tight to the inside curb seems to be my never ending issue..

Maybe it is time to get me a personal trainer.. :dopey:
Any one in for the job?? :sly:

Im not going to pretend I understand how the handicapp results are done, I just don't! But I like where I'm at in them!

Here is my replay. Hope its uploaded right, it's been awhile.

Here's mine, hope I did this correctly. I'm a first timer here. Spent some time trying to get a faster T3 to go with my T1 & T2, but couldn't pull off a clean full lap. 14.1's and 2's but just off barely off track. Oh well, plenty fun though.

EDIT: Oops, I'll put up a new file today. Sorry for the bad file.

For those who are new:

A practice I've gotten into, after submitting a corrupt replay or two myself, is to download the replay after you've posted it, and try to imitate the steps that the reviewer will be going through, all the way to the PS3 XMB. While I'm at it, I grab some other's replays and check them all in one sitting. 👍

You'll eventually run into the issue where 2 or more replays you've downloaded have the same numbered suffix, and that can be a pain, since you have to import them separately, restarting GT5 in between.

@ncrthree: You need to start over at the compress step on your computer (Mac?). You need to at least include the folder/directory that is called BCUS98114-RPL0XX, and ideally include the full structure: PS3/SAVEDATA/BCUS98114-RPL0XX/ IN THE ZIP file. Otherwise we won't know the values for the XX part, and the PS3 will call it corrupt.

EDIT: Grabbed the other 3 or 4 NTSC replays that have been submitted till now...going to check 'em.

EDIT2: Let's turn this into a supermega post! :mischievous:

These 3 are all clean, green, and mean. 👍

Hey thanks for checking my replay Tim. Did you learn anything? I would be surprised if you did except how to take the first corner slow. Your as quick as me now.👍

My NTSC replay. Any and all comments/advice welcome!

And congratulations to all podium finishers!

Thanks for reviewing Lucas.👍

Drafting sounds great if we can pull it off. We can alternate each lap. As long as I'm drafting you on the last lap.:sly:

See you tonight on track.👍

i got a question: how many people raced approximately this week???

Look at the first post in the thread and you can see exactly how many.

Also, please use proper grammar when posting, which includes capitals at the start of sentences and for the pronoun 'I'.

Hey thanks for checking my replay Tim. Did you learn anything? I would be surprised if you did except how to take the first corner slow. Your as quick as me now.👍

Your lap was very clean and smooth and no close calls. You used pretty much the same lines and our splits were within a tenth in the first two sectors:

Code:
 9 | GTP_jack5428 24.532 | 28.039 | 20.711
11 | GTP_WRP001 24.489 | 28.077 | 20.831

You got me on the final corner. I was able to run a 20.708 as my best T3 during the week so it was just a matter of getting back in the gas a hair earlier and carrying a touch more speed to the line which you executed better on this lap.

I think we both left 0.15-0.20 in T1 though.

Here's my Week 35 replay. Hopefully this one will work ok. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice Vagabond and checking my replay, Im still getting use to using a wheel Im getting there slowly.

Congrats to all the podium winners.

Thanks for watching my lap Vagabond, the advice was sound as well 👍 Although it is something I've noticed myself to do even when I don't think I am. I just don't want to waste the lap and go wide in places so I end up loosening the throttle a bit. I am working on it though :sly:

Best I ever did was a .611 T3. I super ripped the last corner clean. I went WOT at 128mph and I crossed the line at 143. It just did turn from 142 to 143.

I was amazed after I did that. I set up for that on my best OT replay, I was just hesitant getting on the gas. I mean heck I probably only was able to take that corner 1 in 10 laps cleanly. I did find a nice way to set up for it so that even if I didnt make it clean I got a great start on the next lap. The bumping the outside entry rumble was the key to that corner I think.

Good lap mate. A bit of hesitation on some corner exits (mainly T2) cost you quite a bit of exit speed, try to time it so that once you floor it you stay on the throttle. The car has more grip under power than you might think. :)

Thanks for the check and comments! There's at least three places I know I lost tenths (especially after some of the online testing), so I've got some more ghosts to go chase ;)
