won't post my final time for this trial , as my ps3 has died ( YLOD ) .
Second time now , had it repaired ( a reball to be precise ) , but it only lasted for about 6 months .

Good luck all, hope to be back in the race soon .

T1: 39.228
T2: 1:14.378

Lost half a tenth in T2: but gained my tenth back and then some in T3. Still a tiny bit more for improvement.

Improved by 25 ms. Comparing the two laps, I see they are different. The one from today is burning more of the tyres.

T1: 40.167
T2: 76.484

Did some tuning on the car for my second 11 lap session and got a full 2 seconds of at the finish line.

39.839
75.873

Hopefully more to come.

New splits with a new tune (too slow to post the tune though):

40.172
1'16.405

39.845
1:15.745

I can just picture the higher ups just laughing at those splits.
Nothing to be embarrassed about my DS3 brother from another mother, brake hard into those corners and don't be afraid to have it slide in a little, that's how I found some time 👍

Heyy, I remember in GT5 when I first started I was 2-3 seconds off the pace from the leader on seasonal events and was just a midpack runner. Over time and racing, I slowly bacame faster And I could feel it. My 1000's positions in TT's became high 100's, then mid, then low 100's. Now, after about 2 years of racing constantly and racing with the best. I battle for 1st in seaonal TT's, and talked about regularly. I'm not saying that you will get to a level of speed of super aliens etc, but you will improve with just constant racing and being with the right fast drivers :) everything just takes time, but you have to use that time sufficiently!
Everyones been there, the fastest guys in the world don't become aliens on the first day :) we've all been there.

This.

I noticed myself getting faster when I started racing with people who are faster than me. I used to join open lobby's in GT5 just because I wanted to win, but now I don't usually join anything unless there are people faster than me in it. I don't win a lot like I used to, but it's a lot more fun, and racing with people faster than you will only make you better.

Edit: Also, believe in yourself. Be confident, but not cocky.

Didn't get another run on this other than my initial 75 minutes or so last Sunday. Submitting anyway, just because...

Good luck to those still running

Not at all. We have all been there. It just takes time an practice. You will find your best technique and the next thing you know, you will be much faster.

I know I'm still one of the faster D3 guys in the leaderboards (second ATM) and I know that out of the DS3 players still in the WRS, I'm one of the better ones (not being cocky here). It just sometimes feels that being a DS3 player is extremely limiting.

Well, I guess I should worry about my own hide and concern myself on what's going on today.

Latest splits and more than likely the ones I'll end up with. Made my goal of joining the under 15 club so I am pleased as punch with this round. Didn't quite make my overall goal, but as it seems rather elusive with the amount of time left, will settle with what I have. This is an addictive and really fun combo. This little car is a blast to drive and I like this track (I really would have preferred this car on the east portion of this track, but still it is a great drive around this one). The tranny on this thing is pretty tough! Most cars give a little at the red line, a little bounce here or there won't kill the time, but this little bugger! Just hit the limiter the tiniest little bit and kiss your ghost goodbye.

New splits:

39.433
1'14.999

Wow, I don't think you need to run more laps here. My theoretical best T2 is also just under 1'15 but I doubt it will happen.
I played with low downforce for few laps and went 0.003 quicker.
