I tried with TC off but kept spinning out! I had a few more laps after watching the fast laps but didn’t improve so will try again with TC off. Biggest thing I couldn’t do was hit the late braking points the fast laps were doing in turn 1. I tried and missed the apex by a country mile! Muchos to learn.

Also I guess some of the fast guys would be on ABS off or weak? If they're really good on the brake pedal maybe that can help braking a bit later, personally I'm rubbish at that so always leave it on default

I must admit I have not yet changed any ABS settings in GTS, though you would be correct in lowering the setting to weak, I did that back in GT5 (though I think it was a number system back then). I can only run with no ABS in PC sims, in GT it has always been too tough. You notice the biggest difference in ABS settings when needing to trail brake, however on this combo almost all of my braking was done in a straight line, then I "coasted" into the corner leaning heavily on the tyres to scrub off a bit more speed before jumping on the gas again. GT Tyre physics have always liked this approach since GT4. The key with this combo is corner speed and momentum and getting back on the gas early so you can come out as fast as possible.

TLDR - I brake, coast, then gas.
