Best run after spending most of my time messing around with the tuning to get it somewhere close to how I want it.

30.750
1'04.650
1'32.266
1'54.850
2'23.350

A lot more smoothness to come from my driving and a bit more tweaking of the tune needed I think. The rear seems to be very loose altogether, whether its under acceleration or braking.

Edit: @Bleached's ARB settings made a massive improvement to traction out of the corners so updated my tune with it.

My tune:
87/85
14.16/15.35
2/1
2/1
5/2
0/0
-0.15/0.20

4/1 BB
13/5/18 LSD

373/610 DF
15kg @ +50 (48/52 weight distribution)

Chipping away.

It's both exhilarating and frustrating at the same time! So easy to make a small mistake and go crashing off, but so fulfilling and exciting when you manage to keep it on track.

First clean splits
Still working on a tune to bring my aero down as I'm running 500/710 and costing me down the straights
T1 30.006
T2 1:02.864
T3 1:29.907
T4 1:51.856
T5 2:19.277

Just drove 6 laps to get the feeling and ended up with these:

31.932
66.882
94.849
117.399
145.849

New splits. At least another 3/4 of a second to gain, maybe when I'm less bleary eyed.

30.525
1'04.042
1'31.259
1'53.709
2'21.475

Just a heads-up, for the online races we're adding both the #51 and the #91 Oreca Vipers, which also won their class in 1999.

So if you don't enjoy the BMW V12, you can still run the GT class. đź‘Ť

That thread will be created tomorrow.

So just to clarify will they be ran alongside the BMW, as in, the same race - two classes together? Would be great if it was and we had a good balance of both classes in each race. đź‘Ť

Nice twist. Should be a fun race with 2 different classes. I think I'm gonna stick with the BMW as I already practiced with that one.

Cheers,

Kevin

Yes, we will do our usual balancing of the classes and lap counts, and it will be a race to the finish between both classes. :)

The Viper is **easy** to drive around here, but I think I'll stick with the *insane* car too.

You have tot be a bit insane just to compete in this great competition. And yes I will be crazy enough to drive the Beamer.

I struggle the most in Sector 1 and at Daytona corner and will probably end up with a positive handicap. But I will learn each lap I drive and have fun all the way. Lap after lap after lap. :scared:

Lost at least a second in sector 5

Love that @Gravitron đź‘Ť Think it's gunna be realy fun with two different cars on track. I realy like the Vipers and i'm on that one.

Cant find a setup for the BMW i can handle. It's way to nervous for me.

Starting to get the hang of driving this beast around. I haven't spent anytime on Le Mans before other than muddling through the career mode events. I'm having nightmares about that damn Mulsanne kink and corner.

It's amazing how much time is lying around all over the track, I have no idea how much time I might yet find.

Using Drew 's suspension and DF with a little front brake bias and a tweaked diff. Curious if anyone is running a higher DF, I'd like to compare setups.

I'm running higher downforce what I lose on the straights I gain in corner exit speed and in last 3rd of the track I gain over two seconds compared to lower downforce .

I post my tune when I get home

After trying to tame this beast for 2 days using everyone else's tunes and getting fed up of spinning at the slightest touch of throttle I came up with this.

85/90
13.98/15.35
1/2
2/1
4/1
0.1/0.0
-0.05/0.06

BB 6/7

LSD 10/11/10

DF 535/775

This is what I used for current splits on the board I have not focused on straight line speed but more on the corner speed and low speed traction and stabilty on the brakes.

I dare suggest Corvette ZR1 and Z06 too?

First few laps. Running quite a lot of downforce. I think I will experiment some more. The second half of the lap could be better.

Here's my setup for now, I will have to do some changes though.

Slow, but I did my own tune since 0/0 camber just doesn't agree with me on this track:
