Are you looking forward to seeing Hella's replay because of his 25.715 T3 in my table? I wouldn't hold your breath, I think he just didn't post the latest splits for his submitted lap, so my calculation method of subtracting his submitted lap from his latest posted splits has given an impossible T3 time. I just don't see how *anyone* could go 0.3 faster than the top D1 driver in that particular T3. But I've been wrong before...

I was thinking that he cut but yeah, you have a point and that must be the case.

Your splits table script is amazing btw.

Unlucky Madison, I guess you'll have to come back another time then.:sly:

Not really unlucky, lack of organisation on my part really. :)

School holidays in about a weeks time for 6 weeks across summer so chances are i'll get bored in that time and come and have a run again. 👍

Oh I'm sorry Gravitron my posted lap was better than my last splits, don't worry my T3 is nowhere that good!
Forgot to update splits.

Btw my name is George and I'm from Hellas (official name for Greece) so my psn is gtp_g3o_Hellas
so everyone call me George

To whoever check this replay, I was very close to being dirty 3 times, but I'm sure I am clean.

No worries George, it happens. And nice to put a name to a ... handle. :D

If you tell me your splits from your lap, I can update my table, for posterity. 👍

Thanks for the compliment, Jevrem, but I wrote a really sloppy version to begin with, and then Ealirendur (Ren) took that and made it much better, so that's what I use now. It just grabs the data off wrs.gtplanet.net after the deadline each week. 👍 Perl is your best friend and worst enemy, all rolled into one!

Energizerr, I don't know what went wrong, did the same thing as usual, I'll upload (do the whole process) again later as I'm away from my ps3.

I guess file extracted normally in yr usb memory, just ps3 says corrupted data. I'll go through some info from the first weeks where some dos and donts where posted.

George, I can't extract your replay. I'm getting corrupted data.

I see that his uploaded replay is at the top of the file tree, so you should just have to copy the PS3 folder and drop it onto your flash card, and then plug that into your PS3. Alternatively, you can drill all the way down to the folder with the long name starting with BC, copy that, and drop it into your flash drive in the folder that's already there for "SAVEDATA" inside the PS3 folder. Just want to make sure you didn't try dropping it into the wrong place, was not sure how many replays you have done.

Don't open up the folder containing the replays files and mess around with it once it's on your PC. That has a tendency to corrupt the data.

Amazing lap, I don't see where you lost time in T3 (such a mysterious sector) so I guess you went too slow.

E

Cheers for checking 👍
I guess I was to slow :)

Congrats on your D3 podium.👍

Thx Viper84, I'm glad you had the patience to verify that it's clean, I'm not really happy for submitting such a lap but it was the fastest I could do.

Gravitron my splits are
T1: 33.895
T2: 20.732

Sorry for the delay:

Great lap, shame about your lines in T3.
Also, I'm amazed that you braked for Wilson (first corner), I knew that was the option when I ran...I just focused on letting off.

That's it for PAL replays I guess.

Thanks for checking.👍

And yes, I braked for the first corner. I screwed that up a bit though but I got a good last corner of T1 so the damage wasn't that heavy.;)
I also never drive at top gear test track and the last time we were here (week 8(?)) it was better to turn in really late. So I did.:ouch:

Hehe, with go-karts I realised that you have to turn it really early in order to nail the apex.
And this was my first actual go at TGTT, the only other time I drove on TGTT was for DC Challenge where I wasn't very good (managed only 1:16.8xx).

Week 42 made me learn something about TGTT. 👍

We only need Luds78's replay to finish PAL region, and then a NTSC guy with some time on his hands can check all the remaining replays.

A clean lap is a good lap, with that beeing said I couldn't do 1 clean lap with a pad. :)

That's it for PAL.

Thanks for Checking Energizerrr. It wasnt easy putting a clean lap together there were lots of backwards moments thats for sure.

Any NTSC'ers available to check replays? I can do a few Monday night, but mine needs checking as well.

Splits and OT match. Lap so clean, it shines!

This is the last time ever your name appears in that colour, congratulations 👍

I am Techno challenged and would like to verify runs, but with the instructions posted, it gives me corruped data when I get to PS3. I might need a very detailed instruction list with all details included, even some that everyone takes for granted as common knowledge. Thanks

I think the most common reason for the corrupted data error message is that you already have a replay with the same number. You could just back it up and erase it before trying again.

Both of these are nice and smooth, and easily clean. Nice job gentlemen. 👍

Allibubba99's is being discussed by the WRS Admin's as for the whether his finish is clean.

And I forgot to grab Ravenmaven's, maybe someone else can check it?

EDIT: Forgot to say thanks for the check, Daniel. 👍

EDIT2: Allibubba99's replay has been cleared by WRS Admin's, but it's on the razor's edge. If it were me, I would have tossed this one and re-ran. Took some of Daniel/segovia's time, and the WRS Admin team's time to look at your replay and make a decision.

Dale, I'll try to help you with checking Ravenmaven's replay, as it seems you are willing to help, and we seem to not have enough NTSC'ers to get these checked in a timely manner. 👍

Your comments infer that you are able to at least get the replays downloaded to your PC, and copied to a USB drive. 👍

In Ravenmaven's case, he chose to zip from within the PS3\SAVEDATA\ folder, creating a BCUS98114-RPL002.zip file from the folder of the same name. When you double-click on the zip file on your PC, it will most likely open the zip file and show you the contents. You will see a single "BCUS98114-RPL002" folder.
Now get another Windows folder viewer up, by clicking on "My Computer" in your Start Menu (or the icon on the desktop). Find your USB drive, and it most likely will already have a PS3 folder. Double-click PS3 to go into it. You will most likely see a SAVEDATA folder, double click it to go into it.

Now you have 2 windows open, one for the zip file contents, and one for the USB\PS3\SAVEDATA\ folder.

Now, if you already see a folder with the 002 suffix in the USB window, you will need to delete it or rename it (to BCUS98114-RPL002.bak, for example). Now drag the BCUS98114-RPL002 folder from the zip file over to the USB drive window.

You can then exit both windows, remove your USB drive and try to go to the PS3 and copy this replay in the XMB Menu, before starting GT5. It's at this point where I think you were seeing corrupt data. Hopefully that won't happen now.

Another possible way people zip their replays is to zip up the whole PS3 folder, and to deal with that, you just double-click into PS3, followed by SAVEDATA in the zip contents window, to find the BCUS98114-RPL* folder(s).

I myself have tried to save and load other NTSC replays onto my PS3 and found no files but my own to view. I was likely having the same difficulties as described above. I'll try your instructions and see if I can get some verifying in on the remaining weeks.

Could you see their replays on the flash drive, but when you loaded the game, could only see your own?

There's the additional step in the game of importing the replay, and that one would catch a lot of people out. Basically the opposite step of the export you have to do in order to get your own replay out to XMB and then onto the flash drive.
