Had run about 20 laps, with various tunes, The TLD one shows way too much understeer, so I tried to adjust out of it. Came out with this very dirty lap, MUCH more improvement to follow. Those esses are brutal with the way this thing plows.

T1- 50.891
T2- 1`33.117

Haven't done any WRS events in about a year (Mainly because I've been too ashamed of my times and my driving overall) and I found this combination to be interesting so I'm giving it a go. This might be the first time I am doing this using a wheel now but I'm gonna evaluate if indeed the Wheel is faster then the controller before I officially show what I'm using and put up my split times.

I played with the gears a bit and my braking and shift points and managed to pull a pretty good lap off. Im sure i can improve on it greatly, seeing as my lines were horrible through the turns before the first split.

T1: 51.575
T2: 1'33.905

1st run

52.690
1'36.996

This run with a DS3, not feeling ok today :(

I know this, and intend to try some downforce based fixes, but I have to be wary of low speed grip because at the moment it's right on the verge of oversteer as it is. I'm still incredibly happy with the majority of my suspension though, always have been with this Corvette. I know the problem stems from the downforce. I may have to alter rear toe when I do the downforce though.

New splits:

51.331
1'33.363

Huge gain thanks to the TLD tune. It's great in the S curves, and thats where I made the biggest gains.

First splits but not from my first run.
Good combo Sjaak.

51.076
133.020

Using TLD tune.

Updated splits still using the TLD tune (except for the steering angle which I left on default as it's not worth changing and readjusting to).

50.879
1'32.877

Just a much cleaner lap. Only two obvious errors, both in sector 1.

Just had a couple of laps myself, fresh tune.

Got into high 51's T1

But still room for improvement i have to say

new splits after my second 1hr session. Using a slightly modified TLD tune now.

T1 51.151
T2 1'33.143

I think that after my last DQ at Suzuka and the fact that all green painted areas are now not part of the track, I'm being too cautious ensuring that my inside wheels remain on the 'track'. This is especially difficult at the apex of Degner 2, the exit of Degner just before the bridge, and the exit of spoon where the rumble strip suddenly becomes a green painted area. I may just have to submit with my current splits, as that lap is 100% clean.

Arrgh, I've made some tune adjustments and while the car is probably the same to T1, it's heaps faster through T2, but I can't put a lap together.:banghead: I have new splits, but apart from their bing mistakes all through the lap, T3 was a real mess and the lap only yielded less than a tenth improvement. I won't post my splits yet as I'll keep trying tonight, but I'll go to TLD now and update the tune.

Edit: TLD-R Corvette now updated. I shall return to the track now to continue getting frustrated.

I'm curious, what gear are you using out of T2 and Degner 2?

Edit: BTW, for the record I'm using the TLD tune without modifications in the lap that's on the board.

OK, finally got a good lap in.:) Although I had to check Degner 1 numerous times to make sure I didn't cut it, I only checked it so many times because the lap was hard to achieve.;) I can 100% say it's clean, here's the splits:

T1- 49.852
T2- 1'31.122

Turn 2- 3rd gear
Degner 2- 2nd gear, I haven't even tried 3rd gear now I think of it.

I'm using the same mostly. I have tried third through Degner 2 and it is possible that it is just a little bit quicker for me since I can get on the throttle earlier without sliding.

I'll try 3rd then, just to see how it goes.:) Not until Saturday now though.;)

New splits with a different tune.
This tune works great in the first sector but I seem to loose a bit of time from the hairpin on...???

50.868
132.953

Not the TLD tune.

I'm back after being too busy last week (I'm a little gutted really, all those laps practising for the GT Academy last year mean I'm quite handy around there..)

Anyhoo, I've found the time to squeeze in some laps for this week, and these are the fruits of my first attempt:

T1 - 50.612
T2 - 1'32.418

I started with the TLD tune, but have been fiddling with the settings (brake balance, gear ratios etc.) Not sure they have been of any benefit so far though, if they are then I'll post them! I did go set a faster lap in a race (without the aid of slipstresms etc) so I know I can go quicker.

Loads of time left. Trail braking is essential to those splits, without it, I was about 0.5-1s slower on my roughage laps.

Another nice little chunk of time taken off, especially in the final sector.

50.817
1'32.713

No setup changes. The lap is very smooth and near the grip limits, but also quite safe and far from the edges. It could be what I submit, but this combos so much fun I'll probably give it another go.

I take turn 1 in 4th, anti-banked curve (4th esse) in 2nd, Degner 2 in 2nd, Hairpin in 2nd, 130R in 4th, chicane in 2nd and every other corner in 3rd for those who are interested.

3rd 1hr session taken a wee bit more off. using the new TLD tune with a small change. Been playing around using different gears in the corners to what I have been using so far. seen a T1 50.8.. but mucked it up. Still room for improvement.

T1 51.036
T2 1'33.039
