I have been thinking about getting a G25. My current wheel has a short in the brakes where all of a sudden they come on for no reason. I see that the G25 cluth is not allowed in these events and always wondered why? Anyone know?

On most cars you can change gear faster using the clutch than you can with the auto/semi auto gears, therefore giving you a faster laptime. As some people don't have the clutch, it is disallowed to provide a level playing field for everyone.
Matt.

Makes sense. Thanks

Submitted with my splits on the board.
Haven't been back to this combo since Monday.
Good luck everybody.

I'm going to ask this in the most polite way I know how with out affending anybody but who's up for a race with there setting's @21:05?

New splits, still a lot more can be taken off. Especially in T1. I missed shifts all over the place.

T1- 51.341
T2- 1`33.091

After surgery to my PS3 a couple more times I have all my GT5 saves back.:dopey: I'll be able to submit after all.:D Unfortunately now though, thanks to the messing around I've had to do in order to get the saves, I don't feel like putting in another effort so I'm submitting with what's on the board. Good luck everyone.:)

Spent an hour just doing 2-3 laps and changing the setup. Found one that feels like I can put in a decent time. Here's what I got so far.

51.713
1'33.898

51.406
1'33.604

I'm sure there's about 3 tenths to com off this at the line. 1 in each sector.
:crazy:Can't see me reaching other D2 times though. Too good guys. All of you:tup:

Hmmm, after a 2 hours of driven I can't seem to get a descent time. I guess 4WD isn't mine cup of tea.

Improved my times slightly...will give it one more shot tommorrow.

T1 - 51.175

T2 - 1,33.027

Glad you got your PS3 back up and running Paulie.....i know how that can feel!

New splits:

T1: 51.091
T2: 1'32.951

Hopefully more to come 👍

EDIT:

T1: 50.981
T2: 1'33.012

Nearly a tenth better at the line with a slower T2, so clearly a bit more to be squeezed out.

EDIT2:

Final splits for today:
T1: 51.021
T2: 1'32.953

All the best
Maz

I wasn't going to run this week, but Maz persuaded me to have a go. Cool combo, nice drive for an AWD.

T1: 0.51.034
T2: 1.32.947

Matt.

Knocked 4/10ths off my best lap.

51.438
1'33.222

I seem to be losing (in comparison with others) in the 1st sector, I'm doing something wrong in one of the esses...

Welcome to join my club. I very rarely go below 51.5 and whenever I do I immediately screw up in the hairpin for some reason

I got quite happy out of Degner 2 on that lap. Didn't lose too much time. Very tricky to perfect the hairpin, as you say.

Lol, Maz said that I should run the WRS too and guess what: I was suprised too to find such a nice handling car for an AWD car.

T1: 0'51.031
T2: 1'32.573
:)

Looks like the Event 03 practice did my fellow dutchman much good - he returns to WRS after his last participation on week 29 and goes right to first place 👍

Board updated EDIT updated up to post 179.

Yes but I didn't say you should WIN. :P

This is a clear example of a D1 driver using D2 specs, I thinK Bart's just removed any suspense about who's going to come out on top this week!

All the best

Knocked off another tenth at the line this afternoon. Quicker at T2, marginally, but a tenth down in T1.

T1!!!! One of the hardest sectors on a racing game.

An EXCELLENT point - this really shows who is ready for a promotion - we should do these every 5 weeks or so and let those folks stand out. 👍

Won't have anymore time for this but don't think it would manner anyway - I too have submitted with my splits that are currently on the board. Good Luck!

Managed to have another run.

T1: 50.951
T2: 1.32.869

Wish i had started this earlier in the week.
