I have a question. If 2 wheels are on the grass and 2 wheels on the rumble strip. Is that lap clean or dirty?

Clean. You need to have at least 2 wheels on track. (Red and White) rumbles are part of the track.

Remember, painted green concrete is NOT part of the track.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up for me EDK 👍

First splits:

T1:0'59.741
T2:1'50.070

Very happy with the T1,but not satisfied with T2 and final chicane...will try tomorrow or Monday again if i can find some time...otherwise this is it...

I had my final run for the week this morning and am submitting with these splits:

T1: 1:00.126
T2: 1:50.243

Good luck to everyone still trying to improve. I can see 3/10ths still for me, but to try get every turn spot on is just too frustrating.

That's the name of the game, but I have done every split as perfectly as I can on different laps with Spoon 2 or 130R wrecking it at the last minute. I ran 59.7 at T1 twice today, I just can't stop picturing that perfect lap and running it in my head, I came soooo close today....it's gonna keep me awake at night until I get the lap I'm looking for

All the best

I know that pain Maz, I've seen so many laps spoiled by getting either Degner, the hairpin, spoon, 130R or Casio wrong, its just not funny. The number of times I stomped away from my wheel cursing under my breath is also not funny. Well, I guess it is, because the wife would just look up, smile and say 'Messed another one up hey!'

Somehow this sounds very familiar to me mate...:sly:....:nervous:....lol..!!

Mine says the same and adds:'could you please stop this and give me some of that attention??'.......:scared:....:):):)...sure baby!!...

Yay! I've been practicing secretly (and racing a lot ) on this combo and I finally got a time I'm happy with.

T1: 59.960
T2: 1'49.990

By the way, very impressive time Carl 👍

Looking good Bartmate...👍

Finally got what I wanted:

T1: 59.839
T2: 1'49.887

Think I might submit with this one, but I know there's more there and this week looks tight. Depends on what we get for WRS 54 :)

To be honest, considering what a difficult car this is, that we can use tuning, that it's Suzuka...it's amazing how close the times really are.

All the best
Maz

Final Splits:

T1: 59.862
T2: 1'49.807

I decided I am going to submit with these splits. I have pretty much given up on completing a fast lap with a 59.7xx T1. I've seen a few more 59.7xx T1's tonight, but just can't follow through with them. Great splits by Bart, Maz, Dan, Rudi, Timeattack, Spyrrari and many others 👍 As many have said, this is a very frustrating combo, but an addictive one nonetheless. And you're right Maz, it's amazing how close the splits are this week considering the fact we are using different tunes. I've been using the Ren/Timeattack tune posted in this thread. Thanks for sharing that tune TA 👍 Good luck to everybody who is still persevering with this great combo

EDIT:

I used Rosso Met as my color this week

New splits

1'00.636
1'51.145

I'm really enjoying this car and the races I had with a couple of TT-R members on Friday night, great racing with this car.👍 Such a sweet chassis:D

Excellent splits once again Carlito, you seem to have T1 to T2 utterly sorted. If you've nailed T3 on this lap I think you're walking away with another overall Suzuka victory mate

All the best
Maz

Submitted with fractionally slower splits as I was unsure whether the lap was dirty and didn't want to risk it (especially after last week!!)

Submitted with splits on the board. Tried to do better for about 3 hours but couldn't even come close. To me, you are all aliens :P

Slightly slower splits but better time at the line. Off to the S2000 and Daytona Road.
T1: 1'01.090
T2: 1'51.620

Finally got around to having a second session. I really regret not having another attack earlier on because now I seem to really be struggling after not touching GT5P for a week. Seems like a little bit of rust began to form that will take a bit of time to polish off haha! :dunce: T1 is my biggest problem so far, as I'm nearly 2 tenths off what I was doing when I had my first session. I'm going to come back in a few hours and try again...should be able to find some more speed I HOPE

However, I did manage to improve my time just by half a tenth at the line, as my previous run through T3 was far from stellar. I'm still pretty dissapointed because judging by the splits I still left another 3-4 (depending on set-up) tenths out there which is a hell of a lot.

New splits:

T1 - 59.995
T2- 1'49.921

Finally got some of my speed back after really concentrating on my footwork and throttle control through T1. Did a 59.77x T1 just a few minutes ago with a 1'49.752 T2, but ended up braking too soon for the last chicane and completely screwed my rhythm up through there :banghead: Also did a 59.686 T1 but put a wheel off at the exit of Spoon in T2 :(

Anyways, I did manage to improve my overall lap time just slightly. 👍 I might submit with these splits and hope it's good enough for a podium. I don't have a whole lot of interest in finding those last couple of tenths, and won't have any time tomorrow for one last session either  Good luck guys. Should be an interesting result in the end...especially given how set-up dramatically affects T3, in terms of cornering speed through 130R (the fastest corner on the circuit), braking for the chicane (largest straight line threshold braking zone), and how well your car can ride the curbing through the chicane :)

New splits:

T1: 59.867
T2: 1'49.804

Managed to pick up some more today. Submitting now, with these splits.

1:00.454
1:50.722

Just performed a rather acceptable lap in a session I even enjoyed in the boxster monster :) and then discovered it was probably dirty, so that's one is off.
There is another lap I could submit but that's one from a longer session of rounds so there are no splits to be found or reported on that one.
Gonna give it a last effort tonight before the submission deadline.

Good luck to all in the final hours of this excellent combo 👍

Oh and Kevin thanks for taking care for Luxy so well ;)
