This clarification has been added to the OP.

The tarmac/concrete runoff areas beyond the white line are illegal, with the exception of the 2 chicanes.

Like on the left near the T1 marker, you need to keep at least two tires on the white line. The concrete rumbles around the turns are legal.

Another excellent car & track matchup.👍

However the tach & shift light setting on this car leaves much to be desired :yuck:.

Yeah, shift around 11K, anyone using automatic will have some troubles this week, as auto probably shifts when the light starts flashing which is around 8K.

@Meister Fetz How did you get those tranny settings? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

I couldn't figure it out either so I just used stock gears :indiff:

Standard tranny trick. Reset to default, move Final Gear to far right, move Top Speed slider to far left, set the individual gears, then move Final to number he specified.

Lucas explained it well - and the basic trick for all cars:

Move the final gear (below the gears) far right the TopSpeed far left then set the gears to about:

6 Gear Box:
1st:0%
2nd:20%
3rd:40%
4th:60%
5th:80%
6th:100%

For a five gear Box use 0%,25%,50%,... for a 7 Gear Box use 0% 16.667% 33.333%,... 8gear Box: 0%, 14,86%, 28.57%,...

The gears should form a nice exponential curve like this...

Then move the final gear to the desired value (so you don't hit the limiter in the final gear on a perfect lap) - then consider if you need some gears longer or shorter on the specific track to prevent in-turn-shifting - that works in every car on every track...

There is always time left to be found on Ascari ;)

Very fun combo indead 👍

Clean lap with my best third sector so far, I saw a 1.23.8xx but could not keep it togheter in the last sector.... So I should be able to improve....

So when the needle drops to '8' that's basically a flaw (driving or gears)?

first time tuning so be warned and no laughing.
As I'd said I was going to stay away from Meister Fetz 's tune just to try and figure out how it all works in this virtual racing world of ours, but used it as a guide line along with the 2 you can find currently find in the tunes forum. So firstly a big thanks to all of them for their tunes, also to Motor City Hami & DolHaus for their tuning guides.

Sus:
95/75
12.02/12.94 untouched as of yet
4/3
4/3
4/4
0.0/0.0
0.00/-0.05
6/4 B/B

Gears:
Max speed set to min 112mph
1st - 4.151
2nd - 3.077
3rd - 2.406
4th - 1.946
5th - 1.608
6th - 1.389
final - 3.980

LSD (man)
10/22/8

And the rest is untouched for now.
Criticisms welcome :nervous:

I had decided to do my own tune because blah blah blah.
I some how obliterated my goal lap time, either because of this tune or because I got to know the track more. I had managed a couple of 36.9's with a slightly different tune but found I was nearly .8 down on overall lap time.

Head no work now

dam b:censored: b:censored: just seen the leader board I'm nearly 2 seconds off back to the drawing board b:censored: 2 seconds where am I going to get 2 seconds I've already got rid of 4 :banghead: 💡

Some of it is in the highspeed S in the first sector. Use the curbs to rotate the car. The double left leading to the first short straight in sector 2 is also very important.
Also don't try to chase the aliens :) Low 1'23 T2 should be somewhat competitive in D2.

What a great combo this is. Car is marvellous. Well done Lucas, I love it. Hope I can get a few hours in this week. Only spent 2-3 hrs on last few events, family, work and sleep requirements. Oh yeah, dragging my rig out every time gets a bit tedious.
Anyway first splits:
T1: 39.500
T2: 1:28.733
