Well done guys, amazing laptimes at the top.
I ran the Viper all week, but then got stuck with an urgent work project, so I could'nt submit.

Hey I've just thought, am I the fastest Viper driver this week then?

Does that mean I can win a prize as well? 💡

I'll attach my replay later on today

Nice lap 👍

Congrats to all podiums and winners

Spent the first half of the week flicking between the Viper and the Vette. With the tunes I was using, both cars were quite closely matched through the first two sectors, but through sector 3 the Vette had the edge that the Viper just couldn't match!

Here's my replay

GTP_Crispy74 👍

Nice clean lap, well held out of spoon :ouch: I thought this could end bad.

Phillip.

His submission was over 2 hours late, so, sadly, is not eligible for consideration.

"Ahemn" - clearing throat,
Actually my submission was sent in time , the pm in my inbox/sent items reads:

Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 58 Submission

That means I sent the PM December 14th 11:52pm GMT
(I hope I don't need to post a screenshot of that)

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag---Car Used
    (Example-) [division 2]---1'44.678---GTP_EDK---Viper
  • you can submit only once
  • please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • the deadline is Monday December 14th 11:59pm GMT
  • if you are unsure of the deadline try this site
(The quote above was edited by me to match the one in Week 58 thread because it couldn't be quoted directly)

Sorry for the extra work I'm causing you Vaxen.

Thanks for checking Phillip 👍

My exit from spoon was certainly a buttock clenching moment, it did look as if it was going to end with a faceful of armco barrier,

Max,

I apologize for missing your submission. It's in the proper place, and was receive on time... results updated to reflect your submission.

My comment in response to EDK was with respect to GTP_CWR's submission, which was received late.

Thanks Vaxen 👍

I checked following replays:

1---1'59.271---GTP_Timppaq
gflagjn4.gif
(congrats for the overall win 👍 )
10--2'00.679---GTP_Anghammarad

18--2'02.549---GTP_wayna

(Interesting gear choise 👍 )

Not sure I understand the willpower comment :dopey:

Also checked your replay Duke of Pendle and I think the willpower comment meant the way you kept going no matter what 👍

Maybe it's a type of expression that is typically swedish (or nordic since MM understood it.) and not familiar to anyone else. It just means that the lap may not have been elegantly and efforlessly perfect but that DoP rather seemed to manhandle the car around the bends with clenched teeth all the while muttering to himself; "I'll show that efffing EDK"

Thanks for checking my lap

Here is my replay for week 58. In view of what we discussed earlier I'd like to ask Kevin to review it and to send me some remarks about my driving style :yuck:

I checked one a few days ago, at the driver's request. ;)

Replay checks still needed for -

PAL

GTP_drama-kyd (Post #30)
GTP_Eriba (Post #27)

NTSC

GTP_01GTP (Post #24)
GTP_demond (Post #45) Not sure if this is PAL or NTSC, but he is in NTSC region

Any help is appreciated. ;)

Kevin

I've checked some replays for you Kevin

GTP_Eriba - clean n green (very smooth driving there mate) 👍

GTP_drama-kyd - very close call between degner 1 & 2 but after checking several times it looks like its just inside, on the exit of Casio it looks like you cross the green strip on the left turn before the start finish. :nervous:

I've watched this about ten times now and don't want to say its dirty but as far as when I'm trying to set a time I try to keep two wheels on the red & white at least, can someone else please look at drama-kyds replay for adjudication.

GTP_demond - this is a PSN replay (don't know if its PAL or NTSC) so I can't open it as I've got a PAL disc version of the game.

I can't seem to extract DK's replay and don't have a PSN version to check GTP_demond's. Sorry.

In PD's infinite wisdom, they set things up for replays such that only a user with the same version of the game can watch your replay. I have the NTSC and PAL versions of the game on Blu-Ray - some folks have the NTSC-J version and others have downloaded their versions from the Playstation Network which we refer to as a PSN version. I say infinite wisdom because anyone of us can go to the Online Rankings and download the top 10 replays and they are converted realtime to the version we have so why would it be so hard to have a generic replay utility so all of us can share our personal replays?

Oh well, hope that explained your question. :)

ah i see now... thank you very much LinPark, that explains everything; yes, i got mine via PSN download and it's the north-american NTSC version

as of the infinite wisdom, seems more like infinite ignorance... they haven't touched the prologue for more than an year and apparently couldn't care less about replays compatibility

Thanks to everyone for the help checking. :)

I've watched it at full speed 3 times. I agree that the one in Degner is questionable,I would say probably off. And the one in Casio is definitely off.

I'm thinking he missed this rule in the original post -

  • The green painted concrete next of the rumbles is not part of the track
I don't have time to get a picture of this, but it's fairly obvious at full speed. I'm going to DQ it in the results.

And with no download version participants to view Demond's replay, we are now official. 👍
