I knew my T3 was good but I didn't think I would overtake you Al. Awesome week, had a blast. Congrats to all the podium finishers. I'll Watch some replays tomorrow.

Here is my NTSC replay.

I prefer cold tires also, most of my fastest laps are in the first couple laps of a run.

Here's what you've all been waiting for.

Congrats placegetters and indeed all submitters this challenging week.

Nifty habit you've got there now of dropping a suddenly .4 better lap, Shawn

Not my best track or car type, but only one way to get better... remembering to use the right subject line and not docking myself a tenth wouldn't hurt :yuck:, so "submitted" splits were really (for the 1'39.110 lap):

32.676
31.866
34.568 :ouch:

Still had a fair bit of time to find in sectors 2 and 3 even on the PBs (still had issues finding the line close to reliably in the braking zones, "magic" lap would have been a 38.5, but with still iffy lines in 2 and 3), but pretty pleased with the progress. The chicane after the tunnel was giving me fits in this car.

Thanks also to Lucas for the tortu^H^H^H^Hcombo, and Chris for the tune; incidentally, thanks again for the helpfulness (vids, tunes...). Your lines I'd like to think I have some hope of actually emulating without a degree in xeno-driving 👍

Replay attached.

I watched a few of the videos uploaded and I cannot see how you guys are so fast and in control, is that the wheel vs a controller?

Thanks also to Lucas for the tortu^H^H^H^Hcombo, and Chris for the tune;

This one was all Kevin. All I did was drool:drool: over his pics, run 5 laps, and then yearn for some free time, which never came. I put the results thread up, but that requires a lot less thought and time than coming up with a combo and thread.

BTW, note the alternate-title of the online race: a.k.a. Kevin is a Wicked Man

Thankz for the review Con, always appriciated 👍

I saw the ref to Arianrhod and I was wondering how manny girls we have in the WRS? It's a little tough for me swallow evertime a woman shows me how to drive .....

Not that I'm either, but I don't think so; viper is always consistently fast, for example. Pretty tough week for throttle control on a DS3 though, and that's assuming throttle/brake on stick or shoulder buttons. It would be very, very painful on □/X, I'd imagine. Sometimes (often?) high controller sensitivity can be risky, too.

That said, I think line is more important; could be wrong. The driving line is a decent place to start experimenting if you don't know the track (but braking markers are wrong, and it doesn't use enough track); rubbered-in-line is almost always better; but watching div 1 replays is far better again :sly:

Thanks for the check, Con

You're really enjoying the dual regions, I see :D

And Lucas, Kevin might be a wicked man ... but you're an accomplice. Or an enabler, or something :)

Thank you Ealirendur and ConRollins for checking my replay. I was very pleased with that. :)

 That's a bit of an archaic attitude there Lefty - there are many more female racing drivers these days. I grew up with a Dad and 3 brothers all motor-sport obsessed and all Gran Turismo players from the first one. We didn't have the money to do it for real so GT was the next best thing. I think there are 2 of us girls on the WRS registry (according to Lucas) - me and Kelly, who I believe is the wife of another well known member.

Thanks for the check, Con

Yes indeed mate. I am already learning much from the masters. Like hold the line and hit the apexes. Basic brake, turn, apex, accelerate. Wes and the others make it look so easy!

Con, thanks for the review, looks like you're keeping quite busy in that department. Two gold stars for that, and one more for a nice lap.

Nice clean lap, looks like you'll be in D2 soon enough.

No offence, I hope :) it was an indirect compliment and my apriciation of your talent. Congratz on the podium and I look forward to watching your replay, great job 👍

Thanks Baron. I took extra care to stay away from anything that did not look like track:)

Thanks for checking. 👍

D2 is definitely my goal right now.

Here's my replay.
I was kind of disappointed that this was my best lap. My two second best laps were so smooth (ala Vagabond, Wes) and every apex was bang on (possibly due to braking a touch too soon). No style points for racing though, this replay misses most apexes, but got to the S/F line faster. A compromise I can live with.

You're quite the replay machine Con 👍 great job. Having both discs comes in very handy when it comes to learning from the D1 masters! Best 30 odd bucks I ever spent for a game :D

Congrats to all the podiums, and to Wes and Chris for showing off their ususal dominant driving, as well as Christina for blowing the doors off D2 for her first Gold and 3rd podium in a row

Baron, ....I hate you .... nice lap! No more loaners from me..EVER!! :ouch:

Wow, so much anger lurking beneath that friendly exterior, if I ever make another Wednesday night race I'll be sure to keep my distance.

Yea, put the only PS3 we had in the store on layaway so it can't be sold. During the slack times I look at replays and play a little. Don't have my wheel and pedal set up here but at least get a little track time in with a DS3.

That's awesome, Ron.👍

Glad you posted this, Christina. 👍 Sex don't matter here; fast is as fast does. :forrestgump:

No offense taken Lefty, I'm not a bra-burner or anything but I rather like being taken seriously as a driver, in GT and in real life. :sly:

Many thanks for the compliments and support Gentlemen. I am enjoying the WRS alot and its been very rewarding and educational so far. Here's to many more podiums to come. :D

@Lucas - That's all I have to say about that. :P

It wasn't all that sloppy Marc! Sure, a missed apex here or there, but not by much. The important thing is, it was clean.

Well I don't know about real life, but I can assure you are being taken very seriously here 👍
