I am almost certain that there are no differences, based on the times I did in the online event before and offline in arcade mode today, but I completely understand that there is no way to tell for sure. I was able to briefly sign in this evening, before being rudely booted off again :grumpy: (something to do with the server...), so let's hope it's just a temporary problem :dopey: . And does this mean I'm not allowed to post my splits?

Nevertheless, I'm going to keep plugging away at this combo (online or not), because it's very addictive and I can feel myself improving on Suzuka with every lap. :) [but I won't submit if it's done offline]

Also, I have studied STREET-RAGING's outstanding lap, and the most important thing I learnt was not to brake much at all through the esses, let the car turn in and slow down on its own. With this I was able to easily break the 1'04s tonight, even with a slightly messy Degner.

Post your splits. Just please don't submit a lap that's run in arcade mode, I would have to DQ it.

What Maz is saying here concerns me, regarding using a different event.

Mate, if I can do it on an unsecured plank of wood sitting on two pulverised shoeboxes on slippery wooden chairs while I sit on a chair with wheels, it can be done on your gear

As for the apex speeds, I actually genuinely think there is a slight difference in grip/physics between the online free run and the actual online TT. I ran about 5 laps today on the TT and it was really much easier to maintain the apex speeds you see at the top of the chart than in the free run.

I've had much more difficulty getting the apex speeds I aim for with required grip on the free run compared to the TT.

All the best
Maz

Thanks Kevin. Still no luck signing in.

T1: 1'03.869
T2: 1'56.161

I've been working on this for literally HOURS, and told myself I wouldn't even bother to submit a time unless I got t1 under 1:06 and t2 under 2:00. FINALLY did it tonight, I don't know if more frustration is worth working on this any more.
T1 1'05.949
T2 1'59.755

Had a final session and submitted with these splits:

T1: 1.04.923
T2: 1.57.920

Suzuka will always be very challenging to me. But I did reach my personal goal for this week, a T2 under 1.58 :)

Had a second stint at this technical combo, managed to find some time in T1 (gear 2 used), sector 2 was slow.

1'03.498
1'55.676

Last sector was close to the limit but still want to improve.

Street Raging's time requires a Diamond trophy for driving excellence:cool: Clinically perfect:tup:

Back online :D and I'm very happy with this splits, even if I did mess up Spoon:tdown:

T1: 1'03.737
T2: 1'56.030

Please take no offense here Kev - I really am starting to hate this one. Its almost as if the N3 tires introduce a level of randomly generated events at each turn. Dunlop in particular seems completely random to me whether the car will stick or hold - I swear I'm doing the exact same thing and the rear end breaks free even with all four wheels straight as an arrow.

Not one single time was I able to do a sub 1'04 at T1 this week and my closest is on the leaderboard so I had a LONG way to go - anyone who's in the 1'03s should get instant alien status.

Good luck to any still sticking this one out - I'm moving on to next week.

Great splits Dan 👍 I lost some time in sector 2 as well, but I've given up trying to improve my time, so I submitted with the splits I have posted.

And I couldn't agree more with your assessment of RAGING's lap. That's about as close to a flawless lap as I've seen in a long time

Good luck to everyone competing this week

Submitted on these times
T1:1'05.641
T2:1'58.782

This was definitely a fun combo and great to see my lap times slowly go down.

Submitted with board times, I didn't have another shot at this one.
I'll try and find time for the TT TT.

Good luck everyone.

Same here.

I have to admit I absolutely love this combo. I too have yet to break into the 03's but I'm going to spend the rest of the evening trying :D

Submitted with current splits. Had several 1'55s at T2 today but couldn't improve. Good luck all in the results.

Splits from my penultimate session:

T1 - 1'04.102
T2 - 1'56.515

I think I would quite happily sacrifice my lap time just for a sub 1'04

Indeed, I can think of a few 100 of my laps I would gladly sacrifice for a sub 1'04.

Submitted with current splits. Very disappointed I wasn't able to find those 2 vital extra tenths in T1, I had better in me than what I have submitted this week.

Congratulations to Carl, Ramon and Dan for finding the magic, good luck to all 👍

All the best
Maz
