Like these guys said, brake early (right at the marker sign and crosswalk for me). Once you are mid corner, you can still rotate the car to help avoid the guardrail and get a faster exit.

But, not sure why we're giving advice to the guy with the fastest second sector. :dopey:

 Nah, that lap was full opposite lock and I just booted the throttle and somehow powered out of it with a 5km/h faster exit than usual... A bit of a fluke really.

What I do mostly is brake at about 25-40% brake threshold and pick up the power mid corner. I tend to hug the apex quite whilst doing this.

I'll have another go tomorrow...

This was a welcome break from watching the golf all day

T1- 27.550
T2- 44.430

I had my final run this morning, but could not improve my laptime so I'm submitting with my current splits. Good luck guys.

Met my humble target but JWB has some impresive splits so still need to go even faster (nice friendly competiton there :sly:)anyway splits

27.824
44.988

That :censored:first sector need to go alot faster :banghead: my head is killing me

Continue to chip away, goal is in sight. ;)

Hey guys, haven't had much time to do this race and am fairly new to GT5p so wanted to see if I can get some tips for this one.

I managed to get Div 2 Bronze in the Qualifier but had rubbish splits in my 1st and only session for this week- been busy but will have another go tonight

With the N3/1's, am I better off with more rally-style corners or will that slow me down? Also re: racing lines etc. Does changing the tyres mean changing racing lines or just a slower speed around corners (if u get what I mean?)

Any help to make me go faster will be great :)

GTP_Pooks

Hi Michael welcome to GTP & WRS congrats on your Div 2 Bronze, dont worry about your splits wrs is all about improving yourself and trying things you would't do normaly, like N3/N1 round London with not much room for errors when "rallying"

Brake early turn in smooth accelerate progressively, then just enjoy.

T1: 0'27.422
T2: 0'44.439

Dang! I had met my goal as well.:) Now I'm gonna have to try again.:dopey: Thought I was done for the week. I'll have a final session just before submit time tommorow.

I have had actually much better 1st sectors, but of course can't seem to put my fastest 1st sector with a clean lap.

Tried to improve on my time, but couldn't. Got too frustrated with the end of S2. I was posting faster sectors, but just couldn't put the full lap together. On to the next set, which I'm looking forward to more than this, lol.

had 2 quick sessions at this one, managing a decent lap, last corner was a little too drifty but still adequate enough.

27.165
43.884

Second corner is a great fun with this car:tup:

Final run, submitting with these times:

27.474
44.191

Fairly happy with the lap, although sector 1 was a bit slow in this lap, but up for it in 2 and 3. :)

Dan - I assumed you mis-typed your T2 split at the 53.xxx, I changed it to a 43. Seems reasonable, based on your T1, and your normal pace.

Whopping splits, though.

Thanks EDK;)

Had a 3rd and final session tonight, which yielded a lap time that I submitted

26.996 (****!)
43.733

And a reasonable last corner to boot;)

Submitting this one...

T1 28.930
T2 46.862

Kinda 'chucked' it into the last corner which probably won't do me any favours on the results table.

Not gonna have a chance for another go. It was a very fun & addictive combo!

Submitting with the following splits

27.748
45.129

Wow that should be close ,oh and don't worry JWB I haven't improved my lap and even the lap I submitted I think I might have scuffed the last sector :sly: ,nice battle all this week mate may we both win

Usually you whoop me. :irked: So even if it's close I'll feel like I had a good week.

Where has this week gone?! *scratches head*

I was making good progress after posting my first splits and I think I was somewhere around the 44.5 mark on the second split but I didn't make a note of it which suggests I didn't save it, I'm not firing up the PS to find out so...submitting with lame splits as posted.

EDIT: what the heck, I've got 100 minutes.

I just thought i'd share with you guys the reason i didnt post a time this week.

Basically, I was pratting around  like this:

WOW, You both continue to dominate division 4. Great Job! And I can't wait to see you guys move up to division 3 so I can have a chance at a gold one day! :D

New lap time submitted.:scared:

A really fun combo and I wish I'd had a little more time to spare!

New splits:
T1: 27.494
T2: 44.583
