Kept going and, despite slightly slower splits, managed to gain nearly a tenth at the line thanks to a much better final sector:

S1: 12.463
S2: 34.030
S3: 58.063

Stil can't keep up with you Dave.. :-)

Had a moment coming out of the 1st chicane.. but just held it.. up .200+ at the line..

12.420
34.170
58.520

Have seen a 58.1xx once or twice.. but either gone off at last righ hander... or gone into the last chicane a little to hot..

If you'd been running the last 6 weeks, you would have probably beaten me in every week as I have been in a major slump  Luckily, this week is finally a combo that is suiting me...well, suiting me when I run with plenty of traction control anyway! Welcome back to the fun by the way...good to see you back

But you've been improving a lot

I had been improving...as shown by the fact that I am officially in D2S...however, the last 6 weeks, I have had a positive handicap every week (and sometimes the worst handicap of everybody submitting) and I suspect my handicap is now around the D3G level, maybe lower. No idea why I was in a rut as I have been spending the same amount of time on it each week...clearly just a run of combos that didn't suit me at all. Am hoping this combo (am surprised I am doing well in it as I don't get on with high-powered RWDs) may get me out of the rut again

Urgh...such a frustrating day....on 5 separate occasions, managed to get within a tenth of my best lap time (one was 0.015 off!) but couldn't beat it thanks to poor last sectors....on one of the laps, taking into account a couple of bad corners and some drifting through the corner before the 3rd sector split, if I'd got a decent last sector, I would have improved my overall time by 2 or 3 tenths :banghead: Will try again tomorrow but I may have reached my limit which is frustrating as my theoretical best lap is 7 tenths quicker than what I currently have!

On the positive side, at least I have finally had a week where I'm not struggling for pace! This track is definitely one of my favourites as it is so technical but, when you get it right, it is so much fun....my favourite corner has to be the one before the back straight.....apply the brakes, release and slide the car in and power on before the apex and, hopefully, exiting the corner doing 107mph+ is just awesome!! Also love the complex in sector 3...mess up the entry and you mess up the entire thing. We have to come back to this track again soon 👍

giving up on this, i dunno what everyone sees on the italian "undrivable"supercars of Ferrari, Lamborghini and this Pagani :scared: personal prefference screams on me to keep away from these :D good luck all and  for your driving skills

Why do the best laps happen after a poor 1st sector or great 1st sector times wind up being a crappy lap?

Updated splits

12.500
33.717
57.767

Lols
I think you are not alone.
The end of the sectors being either in a corner, just before a chicane and in a sweeper(ish) acceleration zone have been making my hair, teeth and fingernails fall out, T1 isn't too bad but, getting to t2 and spotting a blue inter time has seen me fluff my lines at the first chicane more often than not, being ahead of my ghost approaching the final checkpoint has seen me either get giddy and push too hard or tighten up and be too cautious at t3.
Had fifteen minutes today where I turned the race info off. It was initially a bit disconcerting as there was no speedometer or rev counter and I had a couple of offs (), however for final few laps I managed to reach t2 well within range (had to check the replay) so tonight I going to attempt to get some consistency through the final sectors.
Once I got over the 'what the hell' sensation going through the hairpin, this circuit is actually great fun, quite a few corners where I just want to shout 'WAYHAAAAAAAY!!!'

Thanks Ollie. This week was shorter for me. Tomorrow I have to do 300 kms to match the last weeks average of around 600 kms (near 380 miles). No prob, since I'm retired from work, not from GT! Hahahhh... That's the spirit of Alf!
