Clean laps. Tires and time OK for all.

One thing I'm beginning to see is how the D1/2 guys just seems to know how the car reacts and gently guide it whereas we (D3/4) tend to wrestle with the car more. In particular, this car tends to be quite jumpy at high speeds and the ring provides lots of bumps to excite the car. So, the smoother you are, the better.

Clean lap :) your racing line was good, one thing you can try to work on is the braking, braking late and strong is slower in most case, on this track at least, you can try braking slightly sooner but just do trail braking and slowly release the brakes as you get closer to the apex or the point where you hit the slowest speed through the corner, every corner will reqire a given amount that you need to find though, you will carry more speed in the corners and it will smooth/ease the transition when you get back on throttle, it allow you more control on what you are doing :)
(theres some exceptions like hairpins, or corner that require a steady speed like the karoussel, there you can use full brakes more.

And for the Karoussel dont hesitate to keep right side of the track on entry, midnite did the same thing and entered from the left side of the track, that will make you slow down more in entry, keeping right and brake slightly before the last shadow down to 2nd gear will get you a better line.

Thank you for that review! I know I need to work on my breaking among other things and you confirm that for me. I'm always late breaking and I know it's not always faster. Thanks again.

Could someone please check my replay :nervous:

I'll do it, I've to post mine too. Give me a couple of hours.

EDIT: Something came up. I'm off tomorrow so I'll check it up in the morning (and post my replay then).

I'm sorry. Had to send it yesterday but I couldn't find my USB stick and forgot about it the rest of the evening.

I will post it today.

Couple of really close calls in sector 2, but I found the runs clean 👍.

Great lap! Thoroughly impressed with some sections but there were quite a few mistakes which probably cost you a few postions.

Thanks for checking Gooners. Agree about the mistakes. During the lap I was sure I had gone off track, but thought I'd finish anyway as there wasn't much time left. Spent about 7-8 hours total. Wish I had more, but could not find a good 2-3 hour chunk to give it a few more tries. During this TT, I really learned to do trail braking and saw that improve my time. But, old habits die hard and lost some time on places where I braked late and hard.

No one to blame but myself. I actually wanted to make a video of my lap and Mike's side by side but didn't even have time to record it.:ouch:
Might still do it but it will have to be next week.

That would be sweet to see both run side by side:tup:
Dont worry, its the time of year where almost everyone is busy, its better late than never! :dopey:

I am very pleased to declare the winning lap clean:

Congratulations, Wes. While checking the replay I found myself thinking: "How was he so fast through that corner?" almost every other corner.
