Whoooo

That is a serious T2 split there. What sort of speed are you getting around 100r?

Thanks, but have allready seen a T2 of about 0.1 seconds faster...so more to come for sure:)

No idea about speed thru 100r,doesn't really matter in this car/combo...as long as you don't drift wide and get a clean run thru it,you do fine...its the slower corners were speed/time is gained or lost...so put your attention to T3...💡

First five or so laps using TLD tune (thanx, Paulie 👍)

Edit: deleted my splits

First seven laps with whatever set up was already on the car.

T1: 18.401
T2: 48.758

Will give another try later with a setup I just adjusted to.

Anyone else suffering from what can ony be described as chronic lift off oversteer?

YES!!!!...

...But I like it :sly: lol.

Not managing to go all that fast just yet though, just enjoying the ride :) Infact 4 out the 6 laps I did saw me facing the wrong way! This is my kind of car though so I can see myself putting in some effort this week.

Well, if I can put down Sports Champs :D PIIIIIING POOOOOONG!!!!!

Never really participated in one of these before. I just got my new GT3RS wheel so I thought I would jump in the last few of these events for GT5P. Looks like a fun way to break into the new wheel.

Welcome Boss. Very nice wheel you have there! I wanted one for GT5 but not sure I can afford it. Might have to make do with the DFGT, but I really wanted a clutch and H shifter for the decades greatest game! :(

T1: 18.353
T2: 47.767

Took the car out for a second stint. Did about 15 laps or so. The more I drive it, the more I like this monster

Edit: deleted my splits

Could go faster round turn 3, and had a 18.072 on T1 but spun out.
Thanks to paulie for setup.

No offence, but get out of Div 4 you dont belong here!!
Seriously though that 2nd sector split is amazing

I am managing about 120-130 through 100R but I've already started on setting the car up the way I like it.

:scared: How the..? Am I doing something fundamentally wrong, like driving on the wrong tyres? Different planetary system perhaps? After many pathetic 'laps', I spent a while just driving back and forth through 100R as I cannot get around without either a) doing 80mph or b) having a massive moment / many spins. Even at 110mph on a constant, 50% throttle, constant lock (absolutely no variation at all) I still couldn't get the thing round the corner. I once achieved 117-120, but I ended up so wide I almost hit the wall on the inside of the hairpin. Which is several miles from the circuit. I even resorted to turning on the driving line, didn't like what it suggested as you have to slow down for the exit, but a marginal improvement on my previous half-a-mile wide, hope-it-turns-in-without-spinning approach to ensure I can add throttle all the way around to keep the darn thing pointing the right way.

And despite all this, I'm still two seconds behind the lap I put together yesterday which sees me at the bottom of the table.

WRS is supposed to be fun. This car, for me, is not. I'm trying to decide whether to persevere, or go do something more enjoyable for a week and return for the next one. But then I feel miserable at admitting defeat. Decisions... decisions....

Another 10 laps under my belt. I seem to be facing the wrong way less and less.

Managed to equal my best lap time but improved T2 so there is definitely more in there somewhere. Plus the fact you could fit a bus between me and at least 2 apex's. I think that is because I saw the split in the 47.xxx's and got a bit :nervous:

18.489
47.781

After a wild lap I came up with ....

T1: 18.208
T2: 46.866

Looking good there CT,long time no see...👍

EDIT:New splits...:

T1:0'18.231
T2:0'46.746

Much better T2,but not really happy with T3...bit too much sliding and correcting the lift off oversteer...must try to be smoother!!...

Just done about an hour or o this morning.
T1:18.744
T2:48.255

100R could be improved. As could the corner after it.
Oh and the whole of sector 3...
Other than that I'm pretty pleased with these splits so far.
This is a fun and very, very scary combo! 👍

Edit: Just did a much faster lap. Not sure th splits will change but I'll post them up when I watch the replay.

New splits
T1: 18.867
T2: 48.529

Damn...
I can see much more time to be had, which means I'll be on this all day. Grrrr

Edit 2:
Another fastest lap:
T1: 18.671
T2: 48.694

Sorry for doing this to whoever gathers up the splits :P

Edit: New splits in later post.

I managed to get a quick 5 laps in before lunch and i'm starting to see where my time is going. Terribly wide turn 4 but slightly quicker splits:

T1: 18.260
T2: 47.452

I was hoping to put some more laps in this evening but the "scheduled PSN maintenance" in the UK today has scuppered that notion.

Has anyone got (willing to share) any tips on the best way to take the final corner?

I am having mixed results at the moment.

Had another run. Lost a bit in T2 with a sloppyish "hairpin"

T1: 18.188
T2: 46.786

And now PSN seems to be faulty

Wow, havent taken part in WRS for a very long time, but time to get ready for GT5...forgot how much fun WRS is:tup:

Running basic suspension settings until I cant get more time out of the stock setup

Somehow I'm able to do a blistering T1, but 100R is kicking me in the nuts:yuck:

T1: 18.284
T2: 49.452:grumpy:

Just done 66 and two-thirds of a lap in one session of arcade time trial while PSN was down. The number of laps is deliberate, see if you can figure why. What have I learnt? Well, 100R is a stupid name for a corner that isn't constant radius, for a start. And they should call this car the Widow Maker. Or Christine. And a steering wheel that can only do 180deg is guaranteed to invoke a horrendous spin at the slightest twitch.

I'm not giving in just yet - not until it's clear I'm not going to touch a 48 second T2 without several hundred more laps.

I'll make everyone feel better. I picked heck of a week to start the WRS, but I'm enjoying the car. Brutal power, and lots of throttle control needed:

T1: 19.281
T2: 49.756

Still a few days to get my times lower. At least I started finishing laps after a few (quite a few) spins.
