When you get it, check and make sure all the bolts are tight and not stripped out. My left paddle bottom bolt is stripped, thankfully the top one is holding on wellJust ordered new wheel. Fanatec PS DD1.
Mr P, tell your wife sim racing is muuuuuch cheaper than the real thing. So go ahead and order one. Tell her I said it was ok. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission. BTW I just celebrated my 30th anniversary Dec 1.
My racing cost more than the house I am living in. Spent more than $200,000 racing. The bike in the pictures cost more than $6/mile to race (Road America cost $24 per lap, I have done more than 2000 laps). On top of that add travel, food, lodging ....
Well finally got shipment info (ordered on the 27th - charged CC the same day) - should be here on Friday.
Kevin, Jeff be ready for me to bug you about setup - GTS and Iracing.
Ordered from fanatec? I ordered v3 pedals on the 30th and nothing but an apology for delays email.

Kevin, Jeff, any help with settings (pc setup, gtsport setup, iracing setup) would be appreciated.
how is that helmet still certified?
I can tell the era you learned to race by your body position too. Lot has changed since then. Nobody rides like Mick Doohan anymore lol Is that a 125gp bike?
Nice. Ever think about getting back into it? Or is this a wife decision lol250
I am not sure what that picture is from. Those are my teaching leathers, not my race leathers. I did put my head to the inside, much more than Doohan. My max lean was more than 60 degrees.

You made the right choice. You certainly don't know my wife. She loved racing.
In 2001 I crashed and had to be resuscitated on the side of the track, woke up the next day. Had a severe concussion and slight brain bleed. My wife witnessed the whole thing. Back racing a month later.
In 2008 crashed and had a loss of memeory and another fairly significant cuncussion. During the ambulance ride into Birmingham, I decided 29 years of racing was enough. I make my money with my head. Quitting was my choice.
No, I am done. I spent more money (at least $250,000) and time (every day at the track was at least 2 days working at home) than I care to remember. Actually just sold the bike in the picture in December.
I am almost 60 yrs old. There are other things to do. My wife just bought a Porsche Boxster we are going to use to take roadtrips during the summer. I want to ride (R1200GSA) up to the arctic ocean in the next couple years.
You made the right choice.
