Oh, I meant 1'36.117
I always have it set to 10 too.
I think I can improve if I drive the last 2 laps with no front tires.
But it doesnt sound like fun.:)

New fastest practice lap for me

T1 - 20'575

T2 - 1'02.553

Lap Time - 1'35.570

This is for the last time.....

Practice:
T1: 20.729
T2: 1'03.335
Total: 1'36.828

Race (not an improvement :banghead:)
Best Lap: 1'38.031
Total: 20'40.039 (with a pit stop and a spin!)

I now officially hate this 🤬 circuit. I wish it didn't even existed!!!! Hell, i wish they would destroy it!!! :mischievous: I don't want to race here anymore!!! Its giving me unnecessary stress!!! Oh thats it!!! I had enough!!!
*takes out a shotgun and blast the TV and the PS2. Took out the steering wheel and placed it near the computer and play rFactor. Happy none the less....*

Nothing wrong with a little RPing: :)

From the Kyoto Animation pits

Late entry driver known simply as CCY finally arrived at Infineon Raceway yesterday afternoon just in time to conduct some last-minute testing before the start of the GTPClioCup season. Travel didn't seem to be a problem for the California native, for which the racetrack was just a few hours away, but rather, it was finalizing the paintjob for the car which delayed the practice.

If CCY's performance is anything to go by there's going to be a lot of future delays as he has proven to be passably fast but horribly inconsistent, with numerous grassland adventures at 3a, 8a, and 10 (although the last is actually a beach trip) convincing the team that they should perhaps repaint the car fully green so they don't have to reapply the paintjob every 5 laps.

However, despite the inconsistency, CCY seemed to enjoy the circuit and car combination, his first professional drive in a few months. He ran 32 practice laps in total, separated by a strange shunt into the barriers on lap 19 and a wild incident coming out of 10 on the final lap (which was a stunner, he'll tell you) which disabled his car for the time being.

The best lap recorded was a 1.37.394 on lap 24 with a sector 1 time of 20.810. CCY issued a statement in which he stated that he "really enjoyed the handling and simplicity to drive of this car, with a good but not overkill amount of power, combined with a great track," adding that there was "still probably about a second to be found on a perfectly clean lap; a lot of the trick is to not be intimidated by the turns."

The team has issued plans to hit the track again for more practice if the car can be repaired by nightfall and if they can drag their driver away from his computer where he is busy catching up with the latest shows.

Finally managed to fit in a practice race

Total time - 19'39.270

AI set at +10

Happy racing,

Things have been going good for me as well. All that I need to do now is to figure a way to get around this track a little quicker.:embarrassed:; Not a anime-styled sweatdrop, but it'll do.:sly:

Good work on your car's livery there Yoshi. I wonder what is on the front hood of the car. Maybe Haruhi Suzumiya?:dopey: Also, can you tell us how you did the livery artwork on the car? And would you be willing to do the other Clio Cup cars if asked?;)

Also, the Timesheets have been changed to reflect the latest submissions. Testing ends at 8 pm EDT tonight!!! The long awaited season is virtually upon us. :D

Driver: flat-beat-eric

Speaking as a 1'37 guy (might want to recheck my time, CAMikaze ;) ) can't say that I know all the secrets, but something you ever heard them say that less is more, or slower is faster, etc etc? Infineon's a neat track in that it has both segments in which you have to be slow, and segments where you have to keep it floored.

For example, the first segment, start - T1, is really tricky since you have to break a bit early (but not too much!) and turn in without hitting the rumble strip (kerb? curb? none of them look right.). I used to think that "taking up all the track = fastest", but sometimes it's quicker to come in a bit slower and get through the corner without your tires screeching.

On the other hand, from T2 - finish, that section is so much fun because you can keep it almost floored, as long as you turn at the right time and have a lot of guts!

What I need to figure out though, is how to take turn 6. That one's annoying.

OKies Sammi, I made note of the change. Thanks. :)

Ah, wish I could tell you what's on the front but I don't know either. :dopey: It's a 2D template from an online racing manager-ish thing called BATRacer (woot, shameless plugging) and all I did was paint that. I prefer Kanon to Haruhi, personally, anyway :sly:

I'll post the template up once Imageshack starts cooperating so that other people can have their hand at things; I don't exactly want to do a 20 car grid but if there's a couple spares I might be able to. :)

(P.S. If you want to figure out the GTPlanet Clio Cup logo on the car before I manage to extract and post it, it's this plus this.)

Neither can I.:indiff: :idea:Maybe it's because they had lots of practice?:D

I did.;)👍 BTW CCY, have you had the chance to put in a race yet? It's past the deadline as of this post, and I'm making the results official at 10 pm.:odd:

Ah, thanks for all the info CCY. :sly:👍 (+REP)I don't have photoshop on my PC so I hope I can do it with Microsoft Picture It! Photo. Also, it would be neat if someone did a 3D template of a Clio Cup racecar.:)

Nah, I haven't had a time to put in a race before the deadline so the first race really will be the first race for me.

Good luck with the liveries in Microsoft...uh...whatever, which I've never used but if it can handle transparency it shouldn't be a problem. What I usually do is paste an image over the car, then paste the car template again over it with yellow transparent to easily fit it to the boundaries of the car. Works great.

Now pretend you didn't know that already. :sly:

Thanks to all who took part in this last Test Session and Race, and congratulations to the Top 3 in each. Time to get revved up for the Season and ready to do our best in this new series!

Good luck to all of you! :sly:👍

Carlito and Fantomas, did you have tire wear turned on when you ran the race?

Sorry that I reply to your question, but I know them personally and their English is a little bit poor.:) If you read ever a little bit more than a half sentence,I am in the background and I help them out from your language.

They turned it on onto "Mild".If doubted,we can prove it with a PAL .max file.
This was the good news.
The bad is that they really have the speed like this.:ill:
