GTPDC WEEK 1: As the Night Takes Over ....

To kick off the drift competition, the first place to have our participants drift is Special Stage Route 5. This will challenge the drivers to drift in the dark and also try to make the driver get the feeling of his car.

Racing: This division will focus on how fast the competitor tackles the corners. Depending on the race, the competitor can use any settings they want. Any tires can be used in this division, but of course your objective is speed drifting Any car will be used. if the competitor hits the wall or goes into the dirt, they will be docked off points

Professional: 4 or more consecutive corners
==> vinkento, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR

Amateur: 1-3 consecutive corners


Here's what the competitor will be judged on:
--> Speed [10 points]
--> Control in drift [5 points]
--> How smooth the drift is [5 points]

REMEMBER:
People who are in the racing division, in the entry that you submit, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include the speedometer in the replay.

Exhibition: This divison will focus on how much angle the car is in the corner. Speed does not matter in this division. The competitor can use any settings they want. Any car can be used. If the competitor runs into the dirt or crashes into a wall, they will be docked off points.

Professional: 4 or more consecutive corners

1. If you use any kind of device to manipulate the car's settings [GameShark] you are automatically disqualified.
2. If you are going to use a song in your video, make sure that the song is okay for the general public [no swearing, no provocative language]

FOR THE PARTICIPANTS:
=- Make sure that your entry has the lap time in it. If it doesn't, it'll make the judges think that you manipulated the game in a way. Please, for the sake of fairness. If you are in the racing division, also include the speedometer.

=-Make sure that you have these corners in your replay. If you are competing as a:

Professional Driver: you will have to drift at least three of these turns:1, 2, 3, 8, or 14.

Amateur Driver: you guys will have to drift at least one of these turns: 4, 5, or 9

It's the one after the turn where the lines are on the ground, which I think is Turn 8.

OK SS5 not one of my favs but i will be in for the comp maybe i will use the vanquish or XR8 on sims should be easy enough
BTW when is the close off for submissions to this comp?.
Also i think this is a much better format for the drift comp and am glad you are calling this Week 1 as the other comp that was run was a bit silly in the fact that In the classs and drivetrain I competed in I was the only one Does this automaticaly make me A winner? (I know I Know i really am a WINNER).Hey a wins a win and i will take it but as for bragging rights and all that other stuff any victory attained in this manner is a very hollow one indeed.

Vinkento i think your right it was just to get a feel for interest and participation in this kind of event.
As per usual there are the sort of people who get down to the buisness of making and submiting material for this sort of thing you know the type "The shut up & put up" sort.

Then as per usual youve got your insipid nasty snakey people who wont go to any effort to actually be creative and get there s**t together to actually help make the overall quality and depth of of an event like this any better that will just sit on the fence speiling WAH WAH WAH i am the greatest & the rest of you out there couldn't possibly hold a candle to what im capable of but without supplying any evidence.
