GTPDC WEEK 2: Let's Go Reverse, Shall We?

Lots of people used this course, so I hope there would be a lot of entries for this month

Course: Midfield II.

Now for the instructions. It is imperative that you read this before you register:

The format will be the same: there will be a racing and exhibition division. In those divisions will be categories: Professional and Amateur. When you want to participate, make sure that you include those necessary information and also what car you are using. Once you are registered, then have fun! Make sure you also include the lap time in it for the sake of fairness. If you are in the racing division, also include the speedometer. When you are ready to turn in your entry, either IM lifestream, LanEvo or me on AIM so that the judges can evaluate them. During the week after, the results will be posted. Deadline for this course will be at the end of the month, July 31st @ 11:59 PM. This is a good time frame because some of the participants can't get their videos onto their computer, so it'll be fine.

should i enter. hmmmmmm......sure why not any suggestions on what car i should do. ill let u guys choose the car i should drift. since i dont really have my own computer i might not make it but if i do than it'll be great. can i do both. J/W

Well, I think the CL600 is a good challenging car to drift with. I'm going to use it, but if you're going to use it akina_86, I'll just change my entry

Kamui D - I didn't notice the PM until I posted my earlier response. GTP didn't do that pop-up window thing on me about the PMs and yes you can give me the video. If you have AIM, you know how to contact me If you don't have AIM, just send me the clip at SSSTRUMPET@aol.com . Thanks.

Mine is 16 megs, are you sure you want me to e-mail it to you? I don't have AIM but I have ICQ, so I'll download the new ICQ which supposedly lets you talk to AIM users and maybe I can do it that way...

Also, do you get extra points if you don't have traction for more than a second at any point? =) I just finished encoding my demo, and boy I forgot how much fun Sims with Stage 3 turbo can be. I challenge anyone on this board who talks about their skill to beat it. Let's get some exposure here, I think everyone should participate in this. Hell, if anyone without encoding capabilities wants to mail me their memory card I will encode their demo for them and mail the card back (gotta include return postage though). E-mail me for address if you want/trust.

I would enter with an Impreza LM but i dont know how to upload a video from my digital camera to my pc so..... if i can figure it out in a few weeks ill c if this is still going and i will try it. But until then i just have to sit on the sidelines

hey everyone i am a newbie here, and i am very interested in joining this competition here. but i dont have the ability to upload my video. is there a way i can save it to mini DV tape and fed ex it to one of the judges or a member that can upload it for me. if this is possible then i would like to enter, until then i'll continue to be a spectator

Hi all i have a question or to .Since exhibition is drifting with wow factor are you aloud to manipulate your video?or is that rule strictly for the racing drift classes?.Any proposed cut off date for this round?.Do i have to install aim to be able to get a vid to you guys will aim work if im behind a router/firewall?.

You can either send us your video through Email or you will have to contact one of the judges on how to get your video uploaded.

You can manipulate your video, as long as the drift is still there. It doesn't mean you can manipulate your drifts though

If you think you have the speed in your drifts, then enter in the racing division. If you want to show off your control of the car or how much smoke you can create in your drifts, then enter in the exhibition division

Okay I’m in, Pro exhibition.

I already have a pretty good lap, but I can't seem to impress myself. I guess I could try for the 360 but I don't really want to put too much time into it. Anyone else having trouble thinking of ways to drift better? I feel like I hit a wall in drifting and don't know where to go from here.

i've lowered my speed and increased my drift angles. it makes it a bit more difficult to maintain control while the back tires are zinging. im pretty happy with my 300ZX video(i rarely am, though i was fond of the dirt drop i performed in the 1st drift competition )
