definitely keep tire wear. It makes it a drivers game, the car doesnt necessarily win with tire wear on; the driver has to be able to control it and not kill his tires.

If tire wear is on, then softs and or mediums should be used.
It does make a person really set up thier car to run on hards with tire wear. :)

The whole point of going to hard tires is so we can keep tire wear on, while still making the cars somewhat challenging to drive. Mediums and softs are never coming back, only way they'll come back is if we set the wear to off and nobody wants that...

We should do some TT's again, but this time do it for car choice :P And maybe like 3 or 4 tracks, not 6. I thought it was fun running those. Maybe do it in a slightly slower car like the Nismo Super Leggera. I'll volunteer to be a steward if you need some.

Yeah that sounds good :)

only on fuji, a relatively highspeed track :P And blaze was right with me the entire time!

I dont remember this at all:ill: lol.

I tried out Gt5 today which I thoroughly missed and everything just feels lighter. The car feels slippery etc. weird times. I want to do this new series. Has a time been decided yet?

the racing hards are what give it that feel i think...

I'm under the assumption that it's gonna be sundays at 5 again, like last season.

My main concern is running heavy damage with hards and tire wear on. Now Im not pointing any fingers here but people were not able to stop from hitting each other on softs and mediums telling people to be careful on turn one dosent make it so, infact it nearly always causes someone to forget that races are not won on the first turn. Running heavy damage with hards and tire wear is a bad idea.

Light Damage and still pass out penalties for causing? This way innocent people aren't totally screwed?

I really don't wanna be a jerk but it may come down to handing out heavy penalties like race suspensions, grid spot penalties and points deductions if it happens. There is absolutely no reason why this should continue to happen, this is a very very good and experienced group of racers but yet week in and week out there's incidents happening mid pack. I understand the acordeon effect that goes on on a pace lap, but the front guys always do a great job upfront to keep everything nice and tight.

Yes they do do a great job. Ive never had a problem with any of the front runners, and yes I do agree that penalties/point reductions should be used. If I earn a penalty I wouldnt complain or consider you a jerk I'd take my penalty gladly.

Heavy damage is the way to go. People just need to learn to chill. We run long races for a reason, and like Jav said, we have a good group of guys running here! Personally, I haven't had any problems with anyone I've run against. yes there's been rubbing and some damage, but not enough for me to want to change anything about the series. These new cars are easier to drive than the last series, so we should be able to accommodate some of the less experienced guys and still remain within their limits.

Let's get some pre-season races going and set up a new thread maybe and go from there!

No Jerk calling here. I'll take my penalties too.
If there is someone in front of you that is a bit slower, have some patients to wait for the opening.
Was racing yesterday and got bumped in the rear when I was going through a tight shicane a bit slower than the car behind me. It was a bit rude when all they had to do was be patient through the turn and pass. I was already a lap down and was letting all front runners pass. There was no need to bump me through the turn.
Just a bit of patients in a race is a good thing.👍

I'm being impatient. LOOOL
When does the car lottery and pre-season start? :D
