I gotta pick my boys back up from their moms in about three hours. Plan to be on after.

They got new games to play so viol ding anymore toys gonna wait till tomorrow. Hahaha.

I don't know guys. With last night's race, I don't know if I have the confidence to continue in this series. Granted, it wasn't a serious race and didn't count towards anything, but I really was trying my hardest, and I couldn't do anything about it. Maybe I just plain suck?

This race was so depressing for me. I know it's supposed to be fun, but it's not fun for me if I can't be anywhere near decently competitive. I'm sorry if I kept going on and on, but it's been a reoccurring thing, and it's really pissing me off.

Well, do you guys think I have what it takes to finish this series? I want truthful answers. Am I good, or am I just wasting my time?

Again I apologise and I don't want to ruin anybody else's experience. Thanks.

I don't think you are, I know you are!
Dude you are a proven winer in this series, true that competition is tough but I know you have what it takes to not only challenge but to win again. You were away for a while and it took some of that edge but all you need is time and practice to get back to the level you were before.
Just be patient, be honest to yourself and hang in there! You'll be back to form, before you know!

This definitely brightened my mood up!

Just got done getting rid of a nasty virus on my brother's Windows 7 machine called "Win 7 Internet Security 2012", which is a Rogue type virus. It's a very malicious virus. It was a pain, but I won! I'm currently using Ubuntu! lol

Are there any rules I should follow when customizing the skins (like per iRacing.com rules)?

Edit: Is there also a guide to these template? I'm not sure as to what panel goes where in some ares.

hey stormy don't feel bad i was not competitive last night either, i don't think it was the 8-10 shots i had consumed. i'm just going to blame it on the update and these crap tires.


never thought i would rather race on sports over racing tires, i hate what they did to our racing soft tires

Unfourtunately, there's no guides. Is all trial and error, some skins specially the ARX are an absolute PITA to line up and learn to use. As for rules the ussual aply for alcohol or tobacco, but they don't really give a f@_)%.

Oh man, don't even remind me of the stupid tires. Whatever enjoiment that was left on this game for me has been taken away. rFactor2 will be more than a suitable replacement for GT5...

I want to switch to a PC sim racer, but still keep going with GT5. But, again, hardware issues. I do need to get to building that dream PC! :lol: I'm just getting sick of all the limitations and screw ups of the console games.

Don't get me wrong, it's still an enjoyable game, to a certain extent. However, if Polyphony continues to limit their little "baby" here, they are not going to last for much longer as the "Real Driving Simulator". And where the hell is my damn livery editor that so many people have asked for for over a decade? And, don't use the standard cars as an excuse, as you have done in the past! Though, they have been increasing the functionality of the standard cars. My biggest complaints are, instead of converting some of the standard cars to premium, they're remodelling some cars that are already premium! Who would race a Prius? Seriously.

With PC, it's more open sourced (Though iRacing really isn't), which usually leads to more and better customization. I'm not sure if open source is the correct term here, but you get my point.

That aside, with the templates, it doesn't matter what sponsors (aside from alcohol or tobacco), where they are placed, and the removal of the pre-determined sponsors that were placed on the template? I've already started on a C6-R skin! It's looking pretty good!

Oh, don't even start with the engine sounds! I still can't believe my ZR-1 RM sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I swear, they're still using some of the stock engine sounds from the first Gran Turismo! Not to mention what a joke B-Spec mode is!

The only thing B-Spec is good for is braking cars in and making extra money, enterteiment wise is a huge fail!
