I fitted Pirelli fuel saving tyres this summer, rated V for 270km/h, because they were cheaper than the ones I needed. And they are the most comfortable rubber I owned so far. And very quiet, too. Though they didn't come with a box of superglue. I mentioned they are fuel saving tyres, didn't I?
Speed rating doesn't say anything about grip levels, just they can take the stress and the tread doesn't come of the tyre body at such speeds with centrifugal forces, deformation and all.
If I would drive an sls, I sure as hell wouldn't turn off any of the driving aids. Because they'd probably would keep me on the road
