GTPlanet COMMUNITY HELP Desk: Track Path Editor/Importer. READ OP!

What a harvest of questions! And some good ones, too - some we all want to have the answers for. Thumbs up to you guys that are taking the time to provide answers - I'm sure some of you are even running the app as we speak and no doubt should be able to provide more information as we go along.
 
I have a question...

Whenever you decide to use the Transfer function to transfer your custom tracks to the PSN servers, what happens? Do you enter your PSN ID? Or does it get sent to the PSN linked to your device's registered e-mail address?
 
Anyone know if you'll be able to save tracks without actually needing GT6? I don't have plans to get the game but the app looks good. :P
 
Anybody know if any of the tracks will be able to race at night? Or at least dawn? love to hold Endurance races on these courses.

Which track should i make?... which "Home Straight" should i pick ? 1, 2, 3 or else ...

Looks like the terrain is dependent on the theme location you set your track on...

The online manual mentions them being saved to the server for a "short time", but I imagine, without the game, you'd never be able to share them with the community.

Do we have to add in elevation changes ourselves (if at all)?

There's no control on elevation; the track follows the contour of the area. So, the Eifel Flat theme - the only one that allows image importing to trace existing tracks - will not be able to give you an accurate recreation if the course you've chosen has any elevation changes.
 
Anyone want to guess which track i am trying to do ?

This is based on 15 mins work quick and dirty ... I am actually having a lot of fun... and i thing a lot of lucky people with tablets will enjoy this even more than driving in GT.... I know i am...

Obviously, it needs to be reworked, refined and making sure the length and the corners are correct...
elevation seems to be totally based on the map terrain... :(


For the one person asking about Weather and Time... Sorry i didn't get that far yet... it's getting really late and i need my beauty sleep guys. My guess is: if any, that will be handled on the PS3 side.

Anybody here able to upload their course maker track? When I press transfer it goes to sign in then takes me to a grey screen that loads but never finishes. It's gotten to the psn sign in three times and froze. Please help

Sign into PSN first on your console before uploading and try?

I'm already signed into PSN on my PS3, I just cannot even get to the point where I login on the app because it never reaches the email and pass screen without freezing :/
 
That's strange. If you're already logged into PSN it shouldn't ask you again.

Sounds like some protocol mix-up between tablet and console?

I'm sorta curious how you have it already but I'm guessing iOS?

Same issue for me, using iPad Air 1 iOS 9.0.0

From what I've tried no since corners aren't even allowed to be to close to each other which is a bummer

@DaGiBUS Maybe it's an iPad Air 1 issue... I now get all the way up to the sign in screen. Where it freezs
 
How do we play user created tracks? I went to Arcade and only saw the sample courses, and I went to the importer but that's only if you wanted to input them.
