Who is this one made by?
It is going to be made by Classic Carlectables, an Australian model car manufacturer. I buy my model cars at a little shop in Kiama south of Sydney. They do a list of cars which is updated every now and then. The problem is that the manufacturers tell the shops that they will be making a certain model but don't tell them when. Hence the Bob Jane Camaro ZL-1 has been on the shops list for about two years but apparently it is due around August. I looked on the website for an image but they don't have any on there.

Thanks for the info. I figured that it was probably Classic Carlectables because I knew about the Exoto 1969 Camaros but it didn't know that there were going to be any versions put out by CC.

My collection so far:
Dodge Copperhead Concept
Hot Wheels Honda Civic EX
Hummer H2
1999 Yellow Mustang GT
1967 Shelby GT500

Dodge Viper GTS-R (White w/ Blue Stripes, I think it has BBS Wheels)

Here is a photo I found of Bob Jane's Camaro. I couldn't find one in colour, but I didn't look for very long either.

That brings back memories of the '69 Z/28 in GT2 With the Racing Modification. That picture hits home. What was that Camaro for? Road racing or Drag racing?

What was that Camaro for?
This one was used for road racing in the Australian Touring Car Championship. It won the ATCC in 1971 with the 7 litre (427ci) motor. Rule changes in 1972 meant he had to replace the 7 litre motor with a 5.7 litre (350ci). It won again in 1972 but further rule changes in 1973 meant Bob had to sell the car. The car was then chopped and changed to become a Sports Sedan for a few years and was then sold to a drag racer. Bob owns the car again now and it has been fully restored to it's original 1971 specs.
Bob imported two ZL-1 Camaros. The other was a drag racer with the 7 litre motor. Stock standard, it would run an 11.9 second quarter mile. This car was sold to someone who bought it for road use. The car was written off in a traffic accident when it was rear ended by an F100.

The engine cover is a large peice of metal. And it can be held by a small-thin peice of plastic. But the car is about the best looking ive seen.

Yesterday night, I was looking through the AUTOart booklet you get when you open the box of the model car you buy. I saw a CALISONIC SKYLINE JGTC in there. I looked, and I think it would be a good thing to add to my collection.

I haven't got my 1999 Toyota GT-one....
