Far too much 1:18 sexiness, time for some 1:43 glory I'd say. And remember what mama said: always read the small print :sly:

1:43 triple a Vantage Super GT300 (2011) von ItsHimness auf Flickr

Really nice interior; including 5 point harness, roll cage bars and of course the number plate on the dashboard (not shown in this pic)

Stunning details. Seriously, how small can they print the decals?

One hell of a car. This is the replacement ck sent me after the first one arrived with skewed print on one side.

I totally dig this Aston right now, and I ordered two little friends from Spark to keep him company, just out now in Germany; image from astonmartin.com

I skipped the 006, no real way of justifying getting all three, though I'm sure I'll regret this at one point.

I agree 1:18 offers a lot, and a lot of other things compared to 1:43 like usually doors that can be opened, the option of modifying the model or some bespoke replicas of the car's engine.

But we must agree the detail and craftsmanship on 1:43 scale models is, in many cases, just insane.

Yes, it's a lot of money for an artifact that serves no real purpose, but on the other hand I appreciate this can be done at all for ~60 €, if one takes margins, royalty fees and such into consideration.

But I appreciate all the models in all the scales, and I really do like the pics, even if I don't reply to each individual post. So keep them coming guys :)

I was just looking at the 1:43 Spark Astons this morning. Really, Sparks are expensive, but the detail of the decals and livery they provide is just stupidly high. Definitely worth every penny!

This is a 1:43 Welly Toyota Rav4 in colours of the Gold Coast Suns AFL team.

I got these DIY Welly’s at a local supermarket for $8 each. They are all 1:24. Fiat Nuova 500, Volkswagen Beetle, 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 and a Audi TT Coupe.

Some more Welly’s. Mini Cooper 1300, 1962 Volkswagen Bus, Jaguar XK Coupe and a Mercedes SLK 350.

The last of the Welly’s. A Land Rover Defender, New Mini Cooper and a Lamborghini Murcielago.

Lastly my 1:18 CC Holden VE Commodore V8Supercar driven by Craig Lowndes and Warren Luff in the retro livery.

Now that I have one in front of me (on my desk) I agree it's a very nice model - got it at a good price too (compared to current ebay prices)

How good of a price are we talking about?

Anyway there is a good chance I will be making numerous purchases from a friend in the coming weeks. Several AUTOarts he offered to sell me so he can thin out his collection a bit.

Let me know if he has a white evo 6....

And CC have really lost thier QC :(

First purchases for a while and my first NASCAR purchases. Kicking off both a 1/64 NASCAR collection and a 1/24 NASCAR collection. Going to collect mainly Jimmie Johnson 1/64's with a few others thrown in. Won't collect loads of 1/24's but certainly at least 1 JJ one and a few more.

1/64 #48 Lowes Chevrolet, 2013 Jimmie Johnson regular livery:

1/24 #24 Pepsi/Star Wars Chevrolet, 1999 Carquest Auto Parts 300 @ Lowes Speedway Jeff Gordon Special livery:

Somewhere between 300-400 USD, for the modern Pochers, (Porsche/Ferrari) the other Pochers were much more expensive.

They're asking approx USD 780 for the Q3/Q4 2013 Aventador in NL (Eur 599), it may drop but I doubt it.

as much as I hate I-D, that thing looks pretty awesome 👍

lol, I actually have yet to even watch ID. Might get around to it sometime...
Main reason I got it though was because the other versions of the AA Trueno went orbital in price. $300-$400 for the white or red tuned one, and $250+ for the plain white or red one.

Actually the anime version of that AE86 would be super awesome if it existed irl.

Apparently it's supposed to have a touring car motor revving to 11k and coil over suspension.

Ah, don't watch it nor read it. You'll destroy your new purchase. Save yourself the neural destruction.
lol, can't be that bad, considering one of my hard core anime nut friends wants me to watch it. Though, he wants me to watch the subbed version rather than dubbed, as apparently the dub sucks bad.

It more or less exists, it just doesn't look like a stock AE86. The car in the manga is inspired by Keichi Tsuchiya's own 86 which had a formula atlantic or something like that engine and was the cuplrit of his driving license bein' suspended because street racing. Yeah, cool.

You'd be better off reading it if you insist in taking risks of brain destruction. The show hasn't aged well at all, it looks really lame/dated now. If you want a pretty car anime watch Wangan Midnight, altough it also boasts a high risk rate of brain destruction.

Nah, not really into reading manga. Anyway my mind is pretty hardened to cheesy stuff, probably wouldn't be the worst anime I ever watched anyway :P
And I need to watch WM, even if that is cheesy as well.

I bought this Mustang a couple weeks ago:

And I bought this Cooper Monte Carlo winner today:

The Mini is so cool with the extra lights and the spare wheels on the roof! :)

Nice stuff guys. 👍 Oh and who makes that Lancia?

By the way, have you guys heard of Welly/FX Models recent release?

Looks the business IMO, can't wait to get one should finance permit. But the price of less than $90US seems great for this level of quality. :)

Ordered another 4 1/64 NASCAR models, gone for Jimmie Johnson's Yellow Daytona 2013 Chevy, Martin Truex Jr's #56 NAPA Toyota, Carl Edwards #99 Fastenal Ford and Danica Patrick's #10 GoDaddy Chevy.

Pics when they arrive :)
