Nice to see new 1/43 buses hitting the market. This is the new Oxford Diecast (admittedly a painted clear plastic body which helps the look) Weyman Fanfare.

My collection so far...

Australia’s biggest “toy fair” is on in Adelaide this weekend :)
The 1:18 CLK & R8 started my collection and I bought them from this very event a few years back.

I’ve been saving in preparation for a while now, so any mo-fo who tries getting between me and a 1:43/1:18 LMP better watch themselves :lol::lol:

Can I ask you about how much was your glass cabinet ?
And where you found it ?

Trying to find one about 40inch wide, 16inch deep and about 7feet tall... Similar to yours...

I have over 30 1/18 waiting to be displayed properly....

Mine came from Cheap As Chips, an Australian discount variety retailer. They sell pretty much everything from toys to food, furniture to clothes and cleaning products to plants. Much of which is incorrectly labelled, near use by date or just plain cheap.

They cost $250 each and I’ve got two of them. They’re 170cm high (5ft 7inch) x 32cm deep (1ft) x 57cm wide (1ft 10inch).

They come from China but I have no idea who the manufacturer is and Cheap as Chips’ website is very limited. It may be worth checking local discount shops for similar products.

What I can tell you is that it fits 4x 1:18 Le Mans cars per shelf. All of these are new since I last posted in here. The Panoz & Porsche from two different Facebook marketplace sellers and the BMW & Bentley in one transaction from eBay. I’m yet to buy a model car new, or pay anywhere near retail for one :D

I did an ikea raid recently, and found that they do a decent glass shelf for both the Billy and Kallax. They come in handy for 1/18's - wide enough for 2 or 3 cars to fit on.

Clean and spacious... Using those IKEA shelves for 1/18 is a great idea !!!!

...but it does take a lot of space if you have ...

That Alpina is drool-worthy

Secured another 90's Grail for the collection

Ultra rare 1997 UT merc C36 AMG in black nib.

Some fun facts.

1. Was one of the fastest fully tuned euro cars in Gran Turismo 2.
2. UT model is the only manufacture that ever made a 1:18 C36 AMG.

I have one too...

One of my favorites and was among the first 1/18 I bought some 20 years ago...

i love the C36, one of the sexiest AMG mercs.

Is UT still in business ?? I haven't heard from them for so long... Haven't look up yet...?

I have always like their quality and products...
UT died a long time ago lol. They essentially became AutoART. Gateway Global owned UT, and currently owns AutoART. They also owned the short lived budget brand Gate.

Yep i have several Gate 996's and UT 996's, all have the exact same body as my autoart 996's. Gate has slightly less detailed tail and headlights and lackluster interior, but it still has exelent paint and overal fit and finish, UT is essentially autoart without carpeting in a few older models and a few other details. So it gets premium paint jobs, interiors with carpet, windows detailed engines and overal just a good decent premium model.
Autoart gets anything and everything, but some autoarts don't have windows either.

UT didn't die, it just bame Autoart.

I always find it interesting why autoart never released the E36 M3 UT molds that are damn near perfect, which is why they command a premium these days, just like the C36 AMG.

And just like autoart basis, all UT's say "Crafted in China".

UT: E36 models for example.

Can't help but feel really impressed by the quality and detail of Kinsmarts. I was tempted to buy a Kinsmart 911 GT2 RS at Lime Rock Park during a race, but I didn't. Rather regretting it now.

It has been sitting since January, but finally mustered enough motivation to pull out the camera and take photos again. These are two Ignitions where I exchanged shoes with each other.

If you're curious to know what an IG model looks like under the plastic, here's the blog post.

What are your thoughts on the change?

I’m listening... :D

Listed what I'm currently passing up here:

Niiiiice. I wanted to do a KALLAX in my bedroom for other storage, but there isn't enough space to go ham on. Didn't think of adding glass shelves to maximize space. That's a clean look! 👍

Are there any good Viper SRT-10 coupes in 1/43 scale? I can't seem to find any. Which is strange and bugginf me out.
Pretty sure Norev was the only one to make the coupe in 1/43. AUTOart did the roadster in 1/43, along with the Competition Coupe.

Anyway some group pics:

Probably gonna take more pics of crap tomorrow if I don't get TOO lazy...

Found this sweet 1/24 Aurora model on eBay. They were built in batches of 2500 in '95, '96, and '97 by Brookfield Collector's Guild. Each model was painted to match a factory combination, and they also offered replicas of the Indy 500 and Indy Racing League pace cars.
