You can get the '64 250 GTO (the one in your pic) by Hot Wheels in 1/18 for about $20 to $30 off ebay. Usually ends up between $35 to $40 with shipping.

If you ever find out, be sure to tell me!

Bondy, I didn't know Maisto made the GS? Damn!

Neither did i til i saw it in my local model shop. bought it straight away! but its not entirely accurate, looks closely it comes with a removable top, the real GS came with either a white soft top or a blue hard top :grumpy:

*McLaren*
The White Soft top was the Conv. model, I think and as far as I know, the Maisto-made one only came in Coupe form.

There are a few Corvette GS's on the american eBay including, a cabrio version:

Sting proved you wrong a couple posts up :P heehee.
My version is supposed to be the coupe but it has a removable hard top which(dont quote me on this as im still not sure) doesnt have a removable hard top but a fixed hard top

twistedspoon, you around? I have a question...

Maybe someone here can answer it? Does anyone know how to do a search on ebay for auctions that have already ended?

I love days when I come home and there is a big package waiting with my name on it... :dopey:

Today is just another of those days, and I knew exactly what was in it. My UTModels E36 M3 GTR (black) has arrived!!! :sly:
Damn its a sexy model, glad I bought it. 👍

That's weird, but I guess that's why I hadn't heard of a Conv. model.

I have a question for whoever it was that had the RS200 Road car.

How is it? I've been looking around, and Ricko doesn't seem to have a great record.....

But considering it is the only 1/18 scale RS200, it's the only option.

It would be my first model, so yeah. Unfortunately, I have no money whatsoever right now.:indiff:

Just so you know, this thread got me interested in die cast models.👍

Whenever I get the money, the Auto Art Callaway C12 seems desirable....

Well my Kyosho M3 GTR Dealer Edition arrived today, and for my first Kyosho model, I'm very impressed. I love the thing!

What I could do with now, is a dedicated cabinet for models.

Yea but finding a nice one at a decent price (and having the space for it) is always difficult.
My cabinet was made by my grandad to my specifications :sly:
It was my birthday present when i turned 19, a little late (around 2 months  ) but once it was done and hung on the wall it looks and works brilliantly. :)
There are 2 pics of it in my gallery.

I love my grandad, he was a mechanic for nearly 40 years (handy when the car plays up ;)) and built his own conservatory, hes a good bricklayer and a carpenter too.

Yup I seen your one, it looks nice and sturdy, props to your grandad. AutoArt do a 24 car shelf thingie for 1/43 scale models, I just wish they would for 1/18s for which they only do a 4 car unit. :grumpy:

It houses 24 of my 40 models, so a little over half of them are in there.
I arranged them into groups sort of, and the layout is now vastly different to what i was in those 2 pics  think im gonna take a few more of the current configuration (ooh long word! :dopey: )

Top shelf: Corvette GS, Corvette Stingray, Carrera GT (concept), Porsche Boxster (concept), Viper RT/10, Viper SRT/10

Top middle shelf: E46 M3 GTR, E30 M3 Evo, M roadster, SLK230K, SL500, CLK GTR

Bottom middle shelf: Esprit Turbo, Capri RS2600, Escort RS1800, Alfa GTA, F355 Spider, 288GTO

By the way, this took about half an hour to upload those 4 tiny images because imageshack has a problem 🤬, seems to be moving at a slower pace than a snail dragging a tonne wieght up a 45 degree hill against the wind...in freezing conditions :grumpy:

Liking the muscle car shelf. lol
The Vette GS still makes me drool, I might have to look into importing one from the US or mainland Europe, because they just don't seem to show up in the UK.

Got a couple new models to post pics of.

The Testarossa and the McLaren F1 I received about 2 weeks ago but haven't had the time to post them.

A little background

Testarossa
- my favorite car of all time, been loving since I first played with it in the original Need For Speed (1995), love the sound of that flat-12 engine. It's made by Bburago, and since it's an older Bburago, doesn't have too many details. Still a good model for me though.

McLaren F1
- been wanting one since I played in NFS2, and since I found out Maisto made one back in august 2005. Won this one off ebay. The UT model was much more expensive. May one day add a MacF1 GTR by UT by it (the Ueno Clinic '95 LM Winner wouldn't be bad 💡 ).

BMW V12 LMR
- saw one when I went to Zellers on wednesday. Great model, I'm quite happy with it. It sits nice next to my Porsche 917K and Corvette C5-R. Hopefully I may add an Audi R8 or Merc CLK-LM, Porsche 911 GT1 and such one day next to it.
