The song is terrible, it's only popular because it's simple enough for people who are bad at singing to sing it.... just like with most Karaoke anthems that people murder! People screeching out 'let it go... let it go'...

Tangled's song is where it's at, one which didn't get the respect it deserved although it was nominated for an Oscar.

GTPlanet vs. Wham! works because it is a once per year thing, which lasts two months and then leaves everyone's minds fairly quickly after that until next November comes around. Much like the song, overexposure to something causes people to get tired of it.

I already heard the song in a Marks & Spencer's on Thursday. Go figure.

Why got call it getting Frozen? Actually, I can't think of a better name. Count me in, @Jimlaad43. I enjoyed my first run of GTP vs. Wham, so I might as well give this a shot too. Luckily, I haven't seen Frozen, and I don't have any plans to. This should be good to pass the time for 10 months.

Making new Cool Walls is so last year. 'GTP Vs X' is the fad for 2015!

I'm currently studying music at degree level at an institution who's music department is 80% musical theatre so I'm screwed as it is.

Having said that, do foreign language versions count?

It has to be the Idina Menzel version as explained in the rules, so I'm assuming other languages don't count.

As for avoiding the song, I'm not sure how well this will go. I'm well aware that the song is played all the time, but I can't seem to find it playing so easily. With Wham, I ended up getting Whammed from Jordan's autoplay trap. I might as well see how this goes. Anything to keep me occupied until Wham season.

Here's to hoping nobody wants to watch Frozen with me. Cause I don't really feel like watching the movie.

It's not a horrible song, by any means... at least not the theatrical version. The Demi Lovato radio version isn't quite as nice an arrangement, however.

The big problem is a lot of people think they can sing it, but miss that ONE.BIG.NOTE by about twenty Mississippis. Talking about length here, not width.

Count me out. I play the movie every third or fourth night (alternating with Beauty and the Beast, The Lego Movie, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid) to keep my two year old quiet.

Also: One year is way too long for a challenge. One that's bound to be ridiculously easy for some, considering the movie is over a year old by now, and the song isn't in regular radio rotation on many stations.

With "Let it Go", the initial buzz is dying down. The only time I hear it nowadays is when we're actually watching the movie. Unless you count covers and people randomly singing it on the street, you're pretty safe, nowadays.
