So far, so good. But then again I haven't exposed myself to the wonders of the shopping centre/mall yet. Stay safe and shop online with the volume off I say. No radio for me either.

Could have sworn I was about to eat my words at the gas station today....but it turned out to be Rick Astley.

Drove to the city today and christmas lights everywhere! Entered a big mall for 20 minutes but made it out alive lol!

I was at the Mall of America on Sunday for two hours and left unscathed. :D

What?!?! Did you cut the cords to the speakers? How did you go to a mall the size of a small town and just walk out without getting Whammed?

I thought I was about to eat my words when I went to pick up my wife from work. She works in a retail beauty store/salon. Turned out, when I walked in, she was running late with clients, and I stood waiting patiently in what seemed like an eternity of a ten minutes while cheesy Christmas songs played. "Don't play, don't play, don't play."

You mean except for the missing money end excess stuff you had no plans on buying.

Thankfully my work hasn't started playing Christmas music yet.

Surprisingly, I came out alright on that, too - a 20 point pass for rides for the kids, (2) LEGO sets and a bottle of apple juice. The only 'unplanned' of the bunch was the juice.

I don't think I've ever heard of that happening.

Take it of the work play list. That's what I did. Better to be safe than sorry.

If I could, half the crap they play now would be off of the play list.:yuck:

My office play list changes day to day mostly consisting of cheesy pop. One for each day of the week. I managed to hack Wednesday's so that it's pretty much all Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin. Wednesday's shift is by far the most pleasant.

Close call yesterday in Boots. Turns out it was Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Phew!

we're screwed

Thankfully we have a day for the kids early December, Sinterklaas, which also includes presents, and a old bearded white guy, so most radiostations and shops don't play christmas songs untill after the 5th of December.

Debenhams were the only shop playing festive music when I was in the centre of town earlier. I was wary about what songs were being played, but luckily I made it out unscathed, seeing as most shops weren't playing anything christmassy.

I don't always get whammed, but when I do, its on my own house.
I happend like an hour ago. My mom was listening to the radio on the first floor, I went down, looking for something to eat, and then it happend..."last christmas I gave you my heart..."

So I'm off, good luck to the rest of you.
