Agreed, took me forever , but I found half the battle was trying to get a good timed launch and finding the shift points.

Yea i know I found them to be really low rpm shifts

Black screen launch is hitting gas right when you hit enter track, timed launch is hitting gas at a specific time during count down ie. one car might get the best launch when you hit gas at 2 during 3-2-1.

Hold up, I always thought the best shift points where as close to the red line, without the little red light coming on, I thought that was the ideal point? But is it "MUCH" different for different cars? From my XP, with the GTR at least, the above was correct...

I don't know but I know that my lemans runs the best shifted lower than normal lol

It does, but "NISSANTOS" also posted a 8.900 GTR pic up, which had legit G Force... so not sure how we can further verify record breaking GTR times...

There is a cheat that I'm not actually sure of that you can do on 4WD's and you can get legit G's...

Thats what I'm getting at. I dont even believe NISSANTOS time, so regardless of this new guys pic, I still wont believe that either. AFAIC, Karo's 8.905 is still the quickest time to believe.. unless I see a video run LOL...

It's a trick with the spring rates, ride height, and SRF. We had threads about it months ago and that's when I stopped believing anything submitted to either leaderboard. No offense to those out there whose times are real, but the system we use to check legitimacy is flawed. Even video runs can be edited by anyone with windows movie maker & a youtube account.

Lol. Really? When I shift high rpm it slows down compared to lower rpm shifts. I guess it's just my tune lol.

So after a couple of hours I got my GTR BE down to a 8.932.
And I also tried tuning a Supra RZ best was a 10.107, and on both cars every change makes the car slower. Any help / tips for a beginner tuner?

Idk, I can get legit 1.85Gs on the EXACT same tune that gives me 1.84Gs with a different rpm launch (but gives me a slightly slower time)... but 1.84G seems to be the average, between 1.83-84G

LOL... naw... this guy is using the 0-400m format, which is slightly shorter than the 1/4 mile format.

My 8.908 (1/4MILE) GTR runs 8.884 on 0-400m format... switch MILES/MPH to KM/KPH and you'll see your times increase/decrease by 0.02...

I think this is because GT5 use an accurate 1/4 distance to be 402.34M as opposed to a dead 400m which explains the 0.020s difference...

As I said above, switch your units from KPH / Kilometers to MPH / Miles and you're 8.887 will change to around about 8.913... which is a decent time by any means! 👍

Yeah, switch your units to MPH/Miles and you'll see your time increase by 0.020 seconds!

I guestimate that Karo's record 8.905 1/4 GTR would translate to a 8.878 on KPH layout. As my 8.908 changes to 8.883 or 8.884 i cant remember...

My bad!! I was on km/h! My black runs a 8.919 and my TC runs a 8.798! My bad! Looks like they're not records after all!
