I love BMWs and that's my speciality. I know about them in real life too! :)
I wish they can have a DLC of the new BMW cars, since the engines were changed. The new M5 has a twin Turbo V8 that is just INSANE.

It's too big to have a M badge on it. And the car has 2 or 3 clutches I don't remember. But I see a hella lot of mechanical problems in the future as usual for BMW

Its a double clutch system. One clutch covers gears 1,3,5,7 and the other covers gears 2,4,6,8. It reduces gear lag. Plus, it has 560 HP :scared: and a 0-60 in 3.7 is very much respectable. I can see more than 800 HP after GT5 mods ;)

And actually BMWs last long as long as you take premium care...fill premium gas, synthetic oil, regular maintenance at a trusted BMW mechanic or a BMW dealer.

My friend owns a 1987 535is and LOVES IT.

Yeah i love BMW too but its not a car that will last for your buck and that the sad part. Alot of German cars dont last.

I had an '87 Merc 300E which didn't do too well haha..

That's a stereotype dude.

With the right care, a BMW WILL last long. Just like any other car lol.

The older BMW's were indestructible. Not as reliable as a Honda, don't get me wrong, but they were reliable in their own way.

And, you get good gas mileage in a BMW. My mom gets about an average of 36 MPG on her 328i with some relatively light performance mods (intake, etc)

Simple Matt

A Mercedes Benz isn't that reliable...:)

The X6M and X5M are bad ass SUV's one of the best.
BMW is the ultimate driving machine yes but regardless taking care of it or not it just won't last as along as a japanese car would. And that's what bothers me. Paying for something soo much and babying it when your not guaranteed that car going for 5 years without having one serious problem. Have you ever seen a BMW hit 300,000 miles? Cuz it will never happen. The way they make there cars is for the costumer to keep coming bak to the dealer to get the new model. Till the costumer moves on to Merc.
Not hating on BMW don't get me wrong, if I had the money I would get a M3. Or a 08 M5 but CLS 55 is my next car I want and I am going to get it. Not Gona be my every day car though.. Lol
For now I'm happy with my SVT :)

Yes I have seen a BMW hit 300,000 miles haha.

As for the reliability issue, if you weight the issues between Benz and BMW, the Benz side would have more issues. But, I'm BMW biased haha.

I going to have to agree with your dealer statement, that's what ALL German dealers are doing nowadays. I'm just saying that BMW's are reliable IF you know what you're doing.

To make this a tie, Infiniti is the most reliable luxury car. :)

Longest lasting BMW is 223,000 Miles with no major mechanical damage. Just oil services and brake ect.. Which is located at Pacific BMW in Glendale.
Not Infiniti, Lexus is the most reliable luxury car in the WORLD.
I had a SC400 92 with 372,000 miles on it till the tranny went out. I bought that car for 2 grand when it had 227,000 miles on it. Had it for almost 4 years. Can a BMW do that? Never swara. NEVER! lol

I apologize for making you feel bad, but you're wrong LOL. Nissan is more reliable than Toyota, and you can see that on the road.

Plus, look at this site.

http://forum.roadfly.com/threads/10494494-Odometer-turned-300-000-MILES-yesterday-on-97-528

Guy gets 300,000 miles on a 97 528i and still runs...

Meh lets stop lol I could go on.

Another one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh6rr3_VdOU

Lol not its fine. Thats 1 BMW out of what? A billion? I can garantee you every Japaneses car can hit 300,000 miles. Some German cars but not majority.
And im not talking about Nissan or Toyota.. Lexus and Infiniti. I know who makes both of them but Lexus is a much better car then Infiniti. Performance wise and luxury.
And FYI you didnt make me feel bad... At all. I aint arguing with you dude. Im just telling you what i herd and read.
Might be wrong but this is what i know.

Lexus has been there longer than Infiniti, but all I'm saying is that Lexus is pretty much Toyota, only faster/more luxorious, and same goes for Infiniti/Nissan. My dad has been owning Infinitis ever since 2009. Before that, we had owned a 2007 IS300. Great car, great engine. But sadly, cosmetically, it wasn't reliable. And I kid you not, we got the car straight from the dealer. Brand new. And like a year later, it started to have cosmetic issue. Paint chipped off, wheels were loose, etc. When my dad leased the Infiniti G37s coupe, it was great. Great engine, and it had literally no issues. Just the normal maintenance, etc. And when the lease was over, he had the option of getting a Lexus. But he got another Infiniti. Mind you, he was a big Lexus fan. He insisted on keeping the IS300, when my mom told him to change it lol. That's my experience dude.

As for Japanese cars, yes pretty much every one can reach over 300,000 miles lol

I didn't mean to argue with you man, I just love debating.

Ya I know you do cuz your young lol you'll grow out of it. Us old dudes just don't care much any more haha.
But I get what you mean bud. We're all untitled to our own opinions and things we've experienced in life.

Iv wanted to get that car for soo long but the back seats are too small to fool around in ;)
Plus one of the home girls has one so I borrow hers from time to time. She's got no problem with it cuz you know every girl loves a stick V8.

Anyone tuned one of these?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Was hoping it would at least get into the 11.8's, seem's i got a long way to go if it is possible but mines @ 366hp with 22,000 miles on it so i'm not sure how much power i'm missing out on.

Also decided to tune my first civic.

and for fun I tryed to see if I could make it go 200mph, but I didn't even get close

Yeah 92 here

I haven't touched my 92 EG, last time I touched it was with a disappointing time of 12.040. That's the only Honda I HATE.

Anyone touch the Acura CL 3.2? I did 11.877, but it doesn't need ballast as its like 12xx kg lol.

Natural aspirated :yuck:
I have one but I never gave it a worth while tune because it is too heavy for a Honda / Acura

I'll give it a go if I can master some certain 3k cars I've got tuned.

2 of them are pretty easy but one of them is gonna kill me..

Z tune fair lady z (easy)
R390 road car (easy)
NSXR LM road version (holy **** I hate this car so much haha)

I got 11.878 on it, not bad for a heavy car I must say!
