There is already a NASCAR Restrictor plate (502) series closing to a finish with a S2 to follow, and there is also a V8 ford v Chevvy series which starts it's pre season race tonight.

Can't help but feel you are stepping on the toes of both, but I am a little moody right now.

I'm probably the last one to talk, and I can see where you're coming from, but this honestly has little, if anything to do with either of them. This is just an Aussie V8 Supercars series, that just so happens to use Nascars as they're the closest thing there is (other than the old Falcon of course).

Besides, Masi's had to deal with everybody and their mother making a Super GT series, when his was (correct me if I'm wrong) the first (and best). I've never seen him complain about it, either, which is frankly amazing.

Ain't complaining since i don't have the right to. Unless ofcourse you copy every single thing about WSGTC. I don't mind the multiple Super GT leagues. It's a popular series and people are scattered on different places solely because it fits their schedule.... still, organizing/admin-ing plays a big factor on attracting drivers.

Actually there was two races hosted by Strittan I believe on Fuji and Suzuka as a sort of mini-series which was sort of the birth of WSGTC to be brutally honest, but the first proper sized one, the pre-season started a week or two before it. It was originally here but got moved to an other site. I'm just reflecting on old stuff, ahh memories. [/ramble]

Anyways, do you do reserve? I may be able to join after I finish up the V8 Challenge which has 3 more rounds so the 26th would be the first I'm available for.

No plans for Ovals but I'm always up for some random oval races

I'm interested in signing up but the HP is too low for a V8 Supercar series and it should be standing starts. Bump it up to 600HP and institute standing starts with false start check and I'm in. Rolling starts can be way too complicated.

I go through hoops on Fridays to ensure my time slot for WSGTC is free. Trying this twice a week probably not gonna work.

@ LVracerGT - I was aware of the actual specs of the V8 Supercars. The lower power would make for much closer racing and be more welcoming to the novice.

We can test it (600hp) and if people want is unanimously (as we get more sign-ups) then we can switch to higher power. But for now, we stick to the lower specs.

Saturday I could work with coming into fall/winter. Obviously gotta go with the Majority, will keep an eye open.

Prefer Stewart, he is an Indiana boy and Haas CNC is what I use. Went with them cause of Stewart. Huge Stewart fans here.

Off Topic (or is it?) - My Dad works for Haas CNC down here in Cali :] He tells me that he usually sees Gene Haas (Owner of the Company) with khaki shorts and a T-shirt walkin around the office like he's at home. Chill fella! He also has this Israeli guy he adopted... well not really, but he helped him stay here in Cali when he was broke and homeless - i think he's sort of a Security guy now. He drops by my dad's house from time to time to have a drink. My dad has also seen all the previous Haas Drivers until the merger during visits here at the main company site. Jeremy Mayfield, Jeff Green, Scott Riggs, and Ward Burton (saw and met Ward personally and signed me a die-cast!). Well anyway, that's my story


p.s. we'll see what engine specs we'll have. I tested the current specs now and i couldn't even reach 185 at Daytona Oval. Pretty accurate although im sure it'll be much different with the draft. Possibly Talladega speeds at 200-205mph.
