Hey GTFayMcAdemy, have you heard anything back yet?
Sometimes it just happens to get a corrupt data, and there is nothing you can do to fix it. That is why you should back up your GTS save daily.@Gt_Sci apologies for the delay I've been chasing my tail trying to sort this.
If anyone experiences this problem, I'm afraid you're in for a long battle.
What I've been told by PlayStation Support via three emails is that my data file appears to be "corrupted" (hearing the C word is always a bad sign), and that as far as they're concerned there's nothing they can do, either to get my cars back or give me any form of compensation because they're just technical support.
I replied on the second email when no remorse or any form of apology was offered after they confirmed the issue, which enraged me. Basically I was screwed the moment I logged in and it automatically saved it. It's already been escalated up from PlayStation Support to the game publishers, and I've spoken to three separate people on phone calls, and three separate people via email. By Monday this will have dragged on for 2 weeks.
However, given the fact that it's a problem their end and there's nothing wrong with my PlayStation, plus there appears to be zero effort to put me in touch with someone who is prepared to offer me a compromise and is capable of doing so, there's no way they're getting away with this. I've already told them their response is unacceptable, and the person I've just spoken to has passed it back up the chain again, being well aware I won't go away until it's resolved. If they know my game is corrupted, they will know I earned my cars fair and square and I won't accept grinding it out to get them back. Whether they're being all apologetic about it now (where they weren't before) is a good omen, remains to be seen.
In addition to that, when I told Ask Playstation UK on twitter that their suggestion of restoring licences didn't work and asked for advice, I haven't had anything since then.
Go to PS4 main menu, select GT sport but don't start the game then press the Options button and the menu will pop up, then select Upload/Download Saved Data.
From the General Discussion thread.I keep losing the thumbnail pics of my cars.
I had exactly the same issue for a few days.
I'm not sure exactly how many cars I have, maybe 240ish.
But they simply weren't loading.
In the end I went to my Garage and then walked away for quite some time.
I took a peek after about 5 mins and it was still a mess.
But after a while all car thumbnails had loaded.
I deleted temp. data and manual saved (probably don't need to do that).
Checked Garage again and instant load of cars.
Closed game and restarted, instant load of cars.
No problems since.
So my advice is just be patient once, get them all loaded, and hopefully it will behave as it should from that point on.

Maybe the save is just validated through the servers or something?I've been doing this every day, but a question has come to my attention... How does this work? We cannot save the game when PD servers are offline because of online saving. Doesn't that imply that our GTS data is stored on their servers, and not our PS? I know it says game save data, but I just think that's weird that it works like that.
The save is stored on the online server, but the online storage is in another small storage if you have PS plus, it is like you have a USB plug into your you PS4.I've been doing this every day, but a question has come to my attention... There is no other way the at the moment, the only way is to backup your save to a online storage or to a USB, if you notice there is something wrong with the in game save, go to the online storage or to your USB to download and to overwrite the save that is bad and that is all you can do.But I'm curious how we can access a save not on their server?
I'm bit confused. Sorry.Go to PS4 main menu, select GT sport but don't start the game then press the Options button and the menu will pop up, then select Upload/Download Saved Data.
All he is suggesting to do is to copy your console save file to the PSN Cloud as a backup.I'm bit confused. Sorry.
The game saves automatically.
So from now on every day when I close the game I should do that and manually upload my progress?
Just to be sure?
And if I do, then when I want to play again do I have to download again or just start the game?
Yea got it but I just asked if you need to download it whwh you want to play again. All he is suggesting to do is to copy your console save file to the PSN Cloud as a backup.
You can do it every day, every 3rd day, or whenever you feel you have progressed enough that you would be disappointed to go back to your last backup save should something go wrong with your console save.
Nope.Yea got it but I just asked if you need to download it whwh you want to play again.
Cool. ThanksNope.
Your console save and PD's servers continue to do as they always have automatically, so no need for you to do anything in that respect.
All you're doing is sending a copy of your console save file somewhere else safe, just in case.
