My years work lol

Sweet, hillclimbing?
Plus the westy

and a nice ford Anglia(?) in front of it

Well I've been well and truly trumped by the both of you guys! Especially seeing as I bought the Fiesta as is. View attachment 266057View attachment 266058 That's a picture of my sis just after her second ever race. She was taken out by a late braker hence it looking a bit rough haha
Not always about improving them, it's about getting them to a running state.

Something my dad said once, you need money to make a car competitive, but all you need is the ability and desire (with very little money) to actually own a nice car. As I love my cars in general and especially classics, we get them broken and give them the love. Our car list will shock people.

The lotus F27 (above) - During the summer we had a bit of inheritance, so found this, an abandoned barn find. Working on it to use as a track day

Reliant Scimitar - A wedding present my parents bought for themselves. My mum died shortly after. But it's been our main fun car and it's nearly restored

We have a rover 75 as every day car. My dad refuses to drive a crap car, so buys cheap saloons lol

3 Rover SD1's - our favourite - one of them is the limited edition sport version - When we checked about 10 years ago, there were only 24 left in the world

A BSA/Triumph custom 60's bike

This is without all the body shells, gearboxes and engines around our little council house. It's what we do, we buy unloved things. That's why I come home from college and become a little boy. Anyone can do it with the determination and knowledge

Holy crap Nurb that is some collection though the Scimitar? Didn't Princess Anne have one of those? :D
Your place sounds like heaven! How much fun is the Lotus?
I wish I had friends like you guys, not enough petrolheads in this world.

Here's the money pit!
An it's got 109000 on the clocks. Run the Fiesta in the XR2 championship SMRC at Knockhill. But looking at moving into BMW compacts when I earn more. What about your Mk1 XR2 and the Anglia?

bought this last year as a bit of a project but now seem to use it everyday. Had a 156 as an everyday, but that went to car heaven! looking for a new everyday car, but not sure what to get, need a little bit of practicality. haha

The fiesta is just what me and dad built, and is collecting dust (and hopefully value) in my garage.
And we hillclimb and sprint the westy, love it :D

The anglia is my dads, and it's stunning.

Nice list there, good to see there's other like minded people

I know, i'm the crazy guy with no friends who plays with machines all day
Scimitar was our pride and joy, but now it has a competitior in the lotus. Haven't properly used the lotus yet. I explained it here earlier in the thread to xflow, but she sounds great
I think it was princess diane, but I may be wrong
I wish there were more people like this. Honestly, kids my age, they do really pathetic things with cars and it breaks your heart to see the traditional ways going. Huge difference between real petrol heads and people like that

The BMW would be great, RWD for the win any day! @xflow1390 what you doing with the Anglia?

(btw will listen to your alfa in a bit, dad on phone lol)

MX5 or 7? Not fussed on a lot of Japanese cars, especially these ;)
But just because it's not to my taste doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. True petrol heads understand what others have had to go through. What are you looking at next? Can throw some ideas at you if we know what direction your going in

I did have 3 but only one made the whole season...
Honda 250's I think?
What happened to your Pink fiesta? ;)

Love where this talk is going

its an mx5, prob the most fun i have had in a car, had a few hot hatches and saloons, but the mx5 puts the biggest smile on my face. not even thought about them until this one popped up for sale down the road from me, the sun was out and i thought why not.

what i fancy next next, well i need 4 seats and a boot and is able to run up and down the motorway when needed and take me and GF on holiday.

so i have had

mk2 astra gte
mk5 escort gti
mk2 golf gti 8v
e36 323
alfa 156 2.0 tspark saloon
a rather **** corsa
saxo vtr
toyota corolla (also horrible)

maybe the alfa gt, or a newer golf gti (mk6) anything that is fun really! say up to £6K

Many people play them down, but I like the astras ;)

The Anglia is dads, and it's also just sat in the garage. It's a serious piece of kit, steal bubble arches, turreted rear suspension, hydraulic handbrake, it's got a period 1600 crossflow, would make a great rally car but it's just to pretty.

You've got to listen to that Alfa

Junior Rotax 125 :)

Sell you my 156 Ric?
It's got Bilstein B14 coilies, Eibach front and rear ARB's, braided brake lines w/ Performance Friction Z rated pads, GTA multispokes, BMC CDA,Wizard Unicorse replica cat-back and a polly bag round gear lever for the rubbish :sly:. Also 1 of 43 left running in the UK!

I would happily get a Renaultsport Clio like your stunning example @FaithlessEmo but I can't bring myself to leave the sound. Also I had a £660 cambelt change done it.

Hahahahaha oh hell no! Though if that's what you're offering?

Nah if I were to sell it tomorrow (needs the front resonated to be honest) I'd be lucky to sell it for what I bought it for, £1500!
