Everyone, just a heads up. If there's any interest or anyone wants to return for next season let me know.

The forms and track list needs to be done by tonight please guys. I think we've all agreed on a good format but 4 tracks still need to be determined 👍

Replace Kimi's head with Ron Dennis and Fernando's with Jenson Button and that's how long this McLaren driver process is taking...

nevermind how long, it's showing what ron is trying to do to jenson lol. Jenson truly is getting 🤬 at the moment, he needs to leave

Did you get the PM mate?

BREAKING NEWS

While some teams are talking of bringing a third car, seems McLaren is going to run only one next year. That's why it is so hard for them to announce their drivers.
There's no money left after Fernando's salary payment.

The servers are up but it's very laggy and slow in the menus. I can't tell but I think PSN is still suffering after the outage the other night.

Great, just want we need

I was quite proud that this series was different to other touring car ones, and that's difficult to do but now this series is just fitting in with the rest of them.

I'm not going to do well tomorrow, not feeling it around fuji

?

I hardly think this is like the other Touring Car championships tbh m8.

According to down detector PSN has had issues since 19:35...

What are you trying to create? A club room? It failed once but then fired through the second time for me...

No way, guess we'll have to play F1 2014 instead... :D
I've still got grid sat there. wanted to carry on with it when my wheel was sorted. but got no time trying to get some testing and specing done

I need to get some college work done over Christmas  Next Wednesday it's our last day and everyone's being dragged out for a meal, trying not to go lol, mister antisocial ;) (Nah, i'd miss the rocket race, and someone needs to be there to beat ninja)

So, storm and yuc are gone tomorrow, anyone else? I think ABP will be and heard nothing from MAB

That's all of them as far as I'm aware, should be an interesting meeting none-the-less. A couple of heavy hitters missing meaning better positions on offer for those who can capitalise, hoping for good points in the main series and a nice lead extending result in Formula Rocket. If I can get 4 out of 5 podiums again I'll be a happy man... :D 👍

Entrant List

Gran Turismo Touring Car Championship (GTTCC)

by DirtyNurbKing58
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello friend! Welcome to the Gran Turismo Touring Car Championship (GTTCC), one of GTPlanet's most popular and enjoyable series. This is a series put together by myself, in order for people to socialize and have fun, close racing. Whether your looking for some mid-week action to get you through the week, or look forward to the weekend, just to keep you sane, this is the place for you. Our first season threw up some exciting, close racing, and every driver signed up took home at least one trophy, with numerous driver's fighting for the GTTCC crown.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hall of fame

Season 1
Drivers - FaithlessEmo - Swift Autosport - Renault Sport Megané R.S '08
Teams - Swift Autosport - FaithlessEmo, A-B-P, StormPacer17
Independent - yuc2002 - Honda Racing - Honda Civic Type R '08
Manufactures - Ford Focus ST '13 - True-blue-8, mikey_2412, Buck_aroo2, duker_86, Dimse91

Stats
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the GTTCC?
The GTTCC is an organised racing series that uses cars that you would use for work or socialising, but slightly modified. All cars that compete run with a 2.0 litre engine. Races take place on Wednesdays.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Signing up
If you wish to sign up, please post on the thread or send a private message to myself in the format shown below.

(A GTPlanet account is not required but is useful and requested).

By signing up you agree to read all rules, follow them and behave in a suitable and friendly manner.

For example;
GTP ID / PSN ID / Car Choice / Tyre choice / Team Name / #

DirtyNurbKing58 / True-blue-8 / Ford / Dunlop / Diesel Pig Racing / #58

You will also need to add True-blue-8 on PSN.

There are 2 separate championships. PRO and AM. Upon signing up, if you wish to race in the AM series tell us. You may only race in the PRO series once you earn a PRO level licence.

Please make sure to read and fully understand all rules.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Race timetable
The night's racing will work in the following way (all times are correct as of GMT): (If you need to convert to your local time, please click here.)

• 18:00 - Room open
• 18:20 - Support Series Race 1 (Prius) begins
• 18:40 - Support Series Race 2 (Rocket) begins

GTTCC
• 19:15 - Qualifying
• 19:30 - Race 1
• 19:50 - Super-Pole
• 20:00 - Race 2
• 20:20 - Race 3

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Room Settings
• Tyre/fuel depletion - fast - Off for Race 3 - Very Fast for support races.
• Damage - Light
• Slipstream strength - Weak
• Grip reduction - Real
• False start - On

• ABS and driving line are the only driving aids allowed.

The room will be set to Practice/Qualifying/Race mode and the room will be public with the title 'GTTCC Round ? Pit ?-? Private'. This is to make joining the room easier and even if the host disconnects, the racing will run smoothly.
Microphones or unnecessary in-game chat is not allowed and may be penalized.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Race Rules

Qualifying will be a 15 minute session, where you will be allowed to set your best lap, this will be followed by race 1 which will be roughly a 20 minute race. You are required to make a mandatory pit during the race in a pit window, which will be announced before the race.

After race 1 is the Super-Pole. All drivers will start in the pits, they will then drive out on their out lap. After the Out lap, everyone will only be allowed one flying lap to complete their fastest lap and determine the grid for Race 2. If a driver completes an extra lap they will receive a penalty for race 2 and a reprimand.

Race 2 will be the same as Race 1, the starting grid will be based on the Super-Pole . Please do not purposefully leave the lobby or rage quit during/after this race.

Race 3 will be a 10 minute sprint, no pit stop is required. The grid will be based on Reverse results from Race 2. The object of this race is to give drivers who would finish at the back of the grid an opportunity to win and should provide some exciting racing. A manual grid may be used to determine the starting order.

AM Title drivers will have Qualifying, Race 1, and then Race 2 with a reverse grid.

Support Races
Each Support series will use a specific car. Tuning is prohibited, but an oil change and body rigidity improvement is allowed. Brake balance may also be adjusted. For each race, there will be a 5 minute qualifying session, followed by a 10 minute race. The grid will be determined by reverse results of qualifying. No pit stop is required during this race. GTTCC rules and regulations will apply to support series as well, unless stated.

As these are only support races, each event must start on time. No exceptions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regulations
All cars must meet their Correct Specifications.

All cars must run with Sports Soft tyres. However Wet tyres may be needed. (Intermediate tyres are banned). Any driver to be found using any other tyre will be disqualified.

Aero parts are optional. Rear wings and splitter are allowed, but flat floors are banned. Any drivers found to be using these (we will check) will be disqualified and handed a reprimand.

Nitrous is not allowed.

Drivers must run the correct body colour and their racing number. Drivers may be allowed to change their number but must notify the host before the race.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Success Penalty
To keep the championship as close as possible, the top 5 drivers will receive a success power reduction.

1st : -35bhp
2nd : -28bhp
3rd : -21bhp
4th : -14bhp
5th : -7bhp

The top 5 drivers in the championship will receive the penalties for Race 1 at each new round.
If you have difficulty working out the power reduction for your car, you can check here.

If a driver has an incident they wish to report. They must send a message to either the Host @DirtyNurbKing58 (True-blue-8) or another steward, @NinjaEvo (NinjitsuEvolved), @buck1 (Buck_aroo2). The Stewards panel will then review the incident and come to a decision. Drivers may be handed a reprimand, penalty, or anything else the stewards see fit to give.

10 Reprimands - Drive through penalty at the next Race
12 Reprimands - Series Ban

Drivers may be penalized for both on and off track behaviour.

Click here to see GTTCC's full rule book

All rules are there for a reason, drivers, including the host, do not receive special credit. Please read all rules before signing up. 'I was not aware of that rule' is not a valid excuse. By signing up you agree to all the rules.

Drivers being AWOL will receive a warning. The next time they will receive a reprimand and removed to the reserves list.

Big thanks to @FaithlessEmo @Storm_SP17 @NinjaEvo for testing help.

The GTTCC is a series set up by a group of guys who enjoy racing, socializing and having fun. We like to get every driver involved and feel welcome. Any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask or say. Best of luck and have fun. 👍

I've still got grid sat there. wanted to carry on with it when my wheel was sorted.

F1 2014, as any Codemasters recent games, has really poor FFB (least I can say :D ). I got back to the pad with 2014 as you don't feel the wheels spinning at all with the -inexistent- feedback and therefore it's hard to understand the handling of the car. It was still enjoyable manageable in F1 2013 and even the latest GRID Autosport but with this year's V6 turbos you put your rear tyres on fire every time you try to catch up with the pad players /(cheating) AI.

That's such a shame as Codemasters get many things right, but so many things wrong too...

sounds like PD ;)

Right, but unlike PD, they hold the goddamn exclusive F1 licence so they really should do something !
Like PD I hope the PS4 will be a fresh (re)start and will address the main issues.
