(GTTCC8) GT Touring Car Championship S8 - Ash9414 is the Champion!Finished

It's actually quite noticeable in the FGT, not so much with these cars though. My rear tires just seemed to stay cold the whole time at Midfield.

Bit of a late call (something has just come up), I may or may not be able to make it tonight. If I'm there then I'm there, if not then yeah. 👍

Provisional Results from Rounds 4, 5 & 6 from Spa-Francorchamps. All results are provisional until any and all stewarding has been completed. Quality of Qualifying and Race 1 result photos is sketchy at best, this is due to the disconnect I experienced in Race 1. Apologies.

If you watch Round 5 from 12:00, you can see the lead I was going to end up with just by looking at the track map. Robbed. :(

If you watch from 15:00 you'll see that I was quite 🤬 off by this point...

POINTS

because you owe us some

Lappy wasn't working too well last night and kept typing really slow. Some numbers didn't appear and must not have seen that one. My bad mate but fixed now :) 👍
I figured that was the case. I know I'm a bit of a Maldonado but he never got docked points, so I was gonna cry foul if that happened to me after 1 round

I'd honestly want settings back, but I don't really mind too much since I'm an indy right now. As it is, I'll try my best to be there. Had a rough Wednesday last week and wasn't even in the mood to set the alarm.

No tuning is so much better :P
I'll be frank here, I kinda feel like the pad guys are getting left out a bit without tuning. I keep coming back to Midfield where the time differences were appalling, excluding myself, pad guys like @Storm_SP17 being more than half a second off pace just doesn't sound right.

Maybe it won't be much of an issue this time in a street course like Rome (hopefully), but I really think there's something we're missing out on.

From my experience I've never had much of a difference between pad/wheel. Hell, i'm faster on a pad. With low powered cars like this it has even less of an effect. I'm sure even storm will admit he was off due to lack of practice.

If i'm frank too I always find the pad/wheel argument an excuse. Don't take it the wrong way please but with cars like this it makes no difference. Even if this was the case and tuning was available, a tune could be done for the wheel to still make it 'OP'

Never had problems in previous stock series with pad/wheel and if I recall a pad user has won every stock title.

A quick thing I should say as well (I wont edit unless you don't see it) but I drive a wheel like i'm on a pad. My throttle/brake is always heavy and my steering can be quite sharp. The gradual throttle application makes no difference to this car and even if it did, I do that via my driving style which I always used to do on a pad too.

Midfield isn't a 'wheel specific' track either. It's mainly flat out or hard braking. That shouldn't make a difference between pad/wheel

I think the difference might be the reason why WRS allows tuning when it features racing cars. Then again, it might be for another reason. It just feels like the car is a bit sluggish with the stock setup.

I don't know, it just feels different from what I'm used to in this series.

Don't worry, I won't argue with you to the point where you just show me the door to end it. I'm not that desperate.

Solution: get a wheel. ;)
I would've gotten one if I could, really.

The car just feels sluggish in general. It's actually quicker but feels slower
