Any guesses from @rallymorten and @sparkytooth ? This riddle should be moderately easy-ish maybe...
EDIT: Argh, I'll just give away a clue now... the next clue(s) will basically give the answer away if this one doesn't...
CLUE: Foxtrot XL (sorta also a clue for the country)

Abarth 1500 Biposto Bertone' 52?
Lotus Europa Special' 72?
BMW 507' 57?
Cizeta V16T' 94?
Lamborghini Countach LP400' 74?

Not too sure, though. I'm thinking it could also be the Abarth Grande Punto '09. Grande does mean XL. And the base is a Fiat.

Grande means Large, not extra large. Extra large is " Mucho Grande" ;)
Punto means point, so Grande Punto literally means "Large Point" :D

Wrong line of thought, but good reasoning. You guys are mind blowingly close. Not giving you the second clue yet.
Also, like I said, the last clue was a hint for the country too. Think a bit more carefully, it's quite obvious.

Argh! Let's give away the last few clues now...
"The ape's favourite supercar"
and
"First to 322 (200 for Americans)"
If you guys can't get this now, I will find you and I will... etc.

Revision of a few key words from my previous posts:
- "flat-nosed speed monster"
- "twin-mollusc"
- "purple ink"
- "maker of the topless state"
- "not a race car"
- "creator of the stable"
- "Foxtrot XL"

It's the first car to go and hit 200 mp/h, for a production model that is..
Twin turboed...
And wedge-nosed.

Only things that don't add up is "maker of the top-less state" (unless Ferrari invented the convertible/roadster/speedster concept), Foxtrot XL and purple ink. Everything else fits to the F40.

Ferrari F40' 92?
CORRECT! FINALLY! After so many close calls! 👍

"Double mollusc boosted --> Twin-snail --> Twin-turbo
Purple ink's last charge scrutiny last car Enzo Ferrari supervised. Ferrari used purple ink for his signatures.
Flat-nosed speed monster" Self-explanatory.

"Clue for manufacturer: "1-2 finish for 🤬" the year Ferrari died, Ferrari had a 1-2 finish in F1
Clue for car: "the Indian sword" There was a ship in the Indian navy codenamed the INS Talwar F40. Talwar is "sword" in Hindu.
Clue for year: "space"" 1992 International Year of Space

Manufacturer: "The maker of the topless state." Ferrari California *hem* *hem*

"Creator of the stable" Scuderia means stable in Italian, i.e. racing garage/stable. 430 Scuderia, anyone?

"Foxtrot XL" Foxtrot is the NATO phonetic "F". XL is the Roman numeral for 40, not a measure of clothing size. F + 40 = F40. And the Romans were from Italy...

"The ape's favourite supercar" Jeremy Clarkson's, AKA the ape/gorilla/chimpanzee, favourite supercar. A bit 'o Top Gear trivia.

"First to 322 (200 for Americans)" First production car to reach 322kph (200mph)

Oh, and my classic, signature clue. "8/10/12" An F40 crashed on the 8th of October, 2012. :(

That is all, hope you had fun guessing. On to the next riddle. @NT_03 the turn is your's for the taking!

P.S. @rallymorten was so close with the Ferrari FXX/Enzo...

Here's my riddle.

" This car should never be allowed to play golf, because it always cheats."

I'm pretty sure the current riddle relates to a Golf. That's a start, isn't it?

Volkswagen Golf I GTI '76
Volkswagen Golf IV GTI '01
Volkswagen Golf IV R32 '03
Volkswagen Golf V GTI '05
Volkswagen Golf VI R '10

I, @rallymorten, here by pass the throne of Riddlistan to you, @urbanite9. May you serve the people of Guessthatcartropolis to the best of your knowledge.

Continuing with @rallymorten's theme of Golfs? Golves? Golfes?, and because I have no other ideas...

HPA Motorsports Stage II R32 (SEMA Gran Turismo Awards 2004)?

Hmmm... sounds like a quote from somewhere though... Top Gear maybe?
